Actually in this day and age I don't think $16,000 annually for a woman and child is much above the poverty line. I think rent alone (in Calgary or Edmonton) could easily eat up $8-$9,000.
From 1986 till 2010 the dollars adjusted dropped. How is that better?
I knew/know( she is no longer on welfare) a mother with one child on welfare. I knew exactly what her cheques were and what other benefits she received. I also know how much she whined when she no longer qualified for all the subsidies and benefits.
my morals are all connected to abstinence? Really?
And that means what? She was a whiner?
"and I already know what your answer and others would be if I was to bring up the only fool proof prevention there is for pregnancy."
What are you referring to there?
Abstinence is a viable solution to pregnancy prevention. It has nothing to do with "morals". I could care less who or how many someone "fu cks". Have at er. Just take responsibility for the consequences of your "play time". Killing the baby isn't taking responsibility.
Why does this have to be like pulling teeth? You know you were speaking about abstinence from that first post about it. Can you skip the attempts at obfuscation next time?
This obviously has to do with morals, since there are many ways to prevent pregnancy but you are pushing one based on your moral beliefs about other methods.
I think that using a child as a punishment for making bad choices is really dumb. Children should be brought into this world into the arms of caring parents who are equipped and eager to take care of them.
Your morals seem to lead to the worst kind of adverse selection.

Well, if you can't see any, clearly you should never get an abortion.Other than risks of going full term, there are no viable excuses for abortion.

There aren't and I'm a proud dad. You?
men could do alot to prevent abortions without creating laws that might hurt some women who seek truly therapeutic abrotions. They could take a role in the prevention of procreation. Condoms, male birth control, abstinence.
