Have as many abortions as you like. I'm not the one that will have to live with the emotional trauma for years to come... So, fill yer boots bud.
That's a mite more like it. Seems like you're starting to catch on to the notion it ain't none of your business.

I simply find the practice of using abortion as a form of retroactive contraception really nasty.
I find the idea anybody might get nekkid with you really nasty. But I don't make a damn crusade out of it.

In the vast majority of cases the woman comes out of a pregnancy in far better condition than the baby comes out of an abortion!

It's interesting.. People put more thought into putting down their dog or cat more than it appears with abortion.

Kinda frightening really

What exactly have 'old men' decided on the abortion file here?.. That either decision goes and there's nothing anyone can do about it
It's almost like you're acting all victimized
so glad you said almost discounting the whole sentence and that would be accurate.

You people are ****ing idiots.
Yeah, and you're the soul of wisdom. Can we touch the hem of your garment?

Damned shame your mothers didn't get one.......
So, you're not really opposed to abortion.

Your concern for what goes on in the bodies of women you don't know is kinda creepy.

Take away peoples rights. It's the religious edict.
Sad sad sad.
Please free yourself from tyranny and become secular.
You can still beleive in god but without all the controlling subterfuge.

As I've said, I'm not religious but because some folks consider a fetus "people", then there's a problem. If the little person is alive ( oh, plus or minus a few days either side of some arbitrary number of weeks ) and we kill it because it's 'my choice', then it gets very sticky.

Of course, if those little people are just plasm of some sort, then we're all good.

Haha, was actually just doing a search in this thread to see if anyone had brought up the North Korea thing. That is my favorite argument.

In Canada, you simply can't find a doctor willing to perform an abortion after 24 months, and it is very very rare to be able to get one after 20 months.

We don't need politicians to make specific laws for every medical procedure. They are all covered under existing laws and rules regarding proper medical practice. Just because we don't have a law specifically saying that you can't perform a gastric bypass surgery on a two year old doesn't mean that a doctor could do that without facing severe consequences.

Yeah...because no doctor would ever do such a thing, right??

It's more about pain and suffering than it is about choice.

Which is why it should simply be framed as abortion or anti-abortion rather than pro-choice or pro-life.

At least you were given the benefit of the doubt, you can still change the decision if you want.

Not quite, here I am. The birth has happened. I would have preferred a different time and place but that wound up not happening. Abortion was actually considered from what Im told and I understand the reasons it was considered. Doesn't bother me as if it had happened I never would have known.

My cognitive abilities? Did you read my post?

"They are all covered under existing laws and rules regarding proper medical practice."

What he did is illegal under current laws in the US and Canada. What difference would a different law have made?

I'm not against choice either as long as the privilege is granted to all involved.

If you are born or not have never been a choice that is up to you, so why are we pretending that it is something that should start being considered?

If the subject is no able to make a choice then the one making the should err on the of so if in the future he/she decides they should have a choice they are still in condition to accept it or change it.

That simply isn't possible. Nobody can ever chose if they are born or not, and they can't go back and change that later. You are born or you are not. End of story.

My dad once demanded that I respect him because he was responsible for bringing me into the world. I said that I did ask him to. And actually, he didn't, of course, my mom did. He was just a sperm donor.
