""On Saturday, former NBA player Larry Johnson had his own interesting suggestion on how to combat the alleged comments made by Donald Sterling regarding African Americans. Here's the tweet by LJ:
As the New York Daily News points out, this isn't the first time has commented on NBA ownership.
During the 1999 NBA Finals between the Knicks and Spurs, Johnson caused a stir by saying: “We’ve got a lot of rebellious slaves on this [Knicks] team.”
When asked at the time why he referred to his teammates as slaves, Johnson said: “I’ve got to explain that to you? We don’t go with the mainstream.’’
Let's play the hypothetical game here. What do you think of a possible all-African American basketball league? Whether you like the idea or not, one thing is for sure, an all-white basketball league would be...well...interesting to watch""

Understood... ban him from games.

"“Jay Z is not an active member — no one has vouched for him,” Saladin Allah, a representative of the group’s upstate region, told The Post. “It was always understood that you don’t wear the *regalia if you don’t totally subscribe to the life.”"

I don't think that matters and I do not really believe he's not an active member. It is what it is. He wears a 5% Medallion... there is plenty of bling out there to wear unless he subscribes to the belief.

“It was always understood that you don’t wear the *regalia if you don’t totally subscribe to the life.”"

And he wears the regalia!

I think his point was that if you want to play racism in basketball then the blacks could start their own league and completely end the NBA.

....he's mad that he is wearing it because he isn't a member. What exactly is the point you are trying to make?

One way street for racists, did you not know all racists are white. Those would be the paler types walking around. Blacks get a massive pass and leftards defend them.
Now I will pause and rethink, recosider my post.
Nanosecond pause, much to long a pause to figure this put.
OK - Yep I am right. Again I might add.

It is pretty clear that people of certain races have more leeway to say or do certain things than people of other races. The whole n word thing is a prime example.

There are obviously idiots of all races, but not every racist thing is equally bad. Wearing some medallion doesn't necessarily mean he even knows what it stands for. If it was a swastika or a KKK hood, there would be no question, but a lot of people pick up less well known symbols without really understanding them.

In Sterlings case, the comments showed a very serious lack of respect for people that he was in a position of great power over. He made comments specifically about his players. That puts his suitability to be in that position of power in question.

Ya think he does not know what that Medallion signifies. I am positive he knows exactly what it stands for. He is not a stupid man.

Sorry... don't see the "I'm mad that he's wearing it" part. I do see that he's wearing it and that if you wear it you are fully invested.

(psst... try wearing Hell's Angels colors without being a member)

Oh right... before you jump on your carousel...my point again since you having difficulties staying on point...

Will Jay Z be next since he's a 5%er?

BR is just caught again and making excuses for a racist while vilifying another racist. SOP

Meh, who knows?

Did you know all of that info from the article before you read it?

Lol, did you already forget the part where it says he is not a 5%er?

When it comes to HA stuff, I'm sure absolutely nothing would happen to Jay-Z if he decided to wear Hell's Angels colors? Who is going to stop him?

If he went into a Hell's Angels store and wanted to drop 20 grand on some big as hell's angles medallion, do you think the store owner is going to give him a lecture or count the cash?

BR is just caught again and making excuses for a racist while vilifying another racist. SOP

What this Sterling said was unambiguous and directed at specific people who he has great power over.

Wearing some stupid medallion is neither of those things.

Well well... now there it is!

Did you read that post bottom to top?

The NBA had one kick at the gun on this. Yesterday was the anniversary if the Rodney King riots. There was the potential for another that would forever alter the brand of the league. It might be overkill but from a business standpoint it might have the only option. Heck the teams were planning to walk off after the game started. It could've gone nuts down there.

Right.. no play... no pay. I wonder how long all this posturing and indignity on the part of the players would have lasted.

I noticed Sterling used the word 'black' and not the 'n' word. And his girlfriend by her own definition is of Creole or black and hispanic extraction. He's contributed to causes like NAACP and Negro College Fund. He pays his black athletes immense sums for their services on the court.

This is an event looking for any trigger as a platform to push the issue of race. Whole careers are dependent on continually pricking a constant sense of systemic exploitation and bigotry of the African American community.. however far that might be from the truth for all but a few misanthropes and losers. Back in the 80s and 90s Al Sharpton used to invent outrages to push the cause.

I don't think Sterling is a particularly noble figure.. but you can't help but think he's being trussed up as symbol to inflame the whole issue of race.

YOUR part? How is that relevant?

When it comes to HA stuff, I'm sure absolutely nothing would happen to Jay-Z if he decided to wear Hell's Angels colors? Who is going to stop him?

You're missing the point... but they would stop him.

If he went into a Hell's Angels store and wanted to drop 20 grand on some big as hell's angles medallion, do you think the store owner is going to give him a lecture or count the cash?

Now you're just being foolish.

You are trapped and you need to act stupid.

Great power over! lol

He's a team owner.

At any rate...he's banned for life and has been fined $2.5M

Wearing some stupid medallion is neither of those things.

A 5%er medallion is a lot worse statement and far more racist than what Sterling ever could say.

So... I wonder if they will go after Jay Z next for being a 5%er?

Right.. no play... no pay. I wonder how long all this posturing and outrage on the part of the players would have lasted.

.

Not long at all.

Meh, who knows?

And so inconvenient to you to admit that he knows exactly what it means and that he is a 5%er which believes in Black Supremacy. A black KKK of which Jay Z is a part of.

Rich people buy stupid **** all the time, and given the chance between lecturing them or taking their money, what do you think people will do more often?

Great power over! lol

As team owner he has a great deal of power over his players and staff. He can hire and fire whoever he wants and can significantly affect their career.

A 5%er medallion is a lot worse statement and far more racist than what Sterling ever could say.

?

Lol, just because you want him to be a 5%er doesn't make it true.

So you're just making excuses for him because it blows your argument clear out of the water.

Let's see the Miami Heat fire LeBron James (as an example) and see how that affects his career. And you do know they have contracts don't you?

Don't be so idiotic.

He's wearing the medallion and according to the guy you quoted... if you wear the regalia you support it.

And here he is!

Lol, as long as you convince yourself, I guess you are happy?

Do you know that there are a lot of players in the NBA other than LeBron James?

Some of them have contracts. Every year the team deals with dozens of players who need new contracts. The contracts themselves give the team a great deal of power over the players. They control the opportunities you get, and you can't just go play for another team if you are being mistreated. If they draft you they can prevent you from playing for any other team for years.

He's wearing the medallion and according to the guy you quoted... if you wear the regalia you support it.

Lol, how ****ing dense can you be? The same guy said he isn't a member!

Have you ever tried quizzing all the kids you see wearing this t-shirt about anything specific in regards to his views or what he did?
