Standard spin doctoring: any activity that some people strenuously object to gets called something other than what it is.

exactly, are some who are against hunting, going to change their opinions, "hmmm, well thats OK then,
they are actually harvesting them not killing, that seems kinder and gentler", so go ahead.

"Harvesting" doesn't bother me too much! We harvest wheat, potatoes, apples etc. why not deer, moose or salmon. It's pretty much all the same resulting in the death of the subject! I don't think there should be any guilt involved with harvesting as long as it's for food. I don't go along with harvesting moose solely to hang the head on the wall.

no i agree with dex, they are using the word to change the image they have from many, so its not
what they are doing, its why they choose to use that particular word, yes, harvesting does pretain
to many food items, but it is a bit unusual to use for hunting and killing animals, that is a
different catagorie, in my opinion.

The local hunting club calls themselves a Conservation club. Talk about misuse of wording. They support wolf culls so they can have more deer and moose to "harvest?" for themselves.

Really? Is that why? Greed?

Do you feel left out n in life?

Can't afford to hunt?

What's your problem?

If they are not poachers, they are conserving aren't they. It's not like they can hunt year round with no limits right?

How do stocks stay up if wolves are killing the offspring

Do a few hiyiyis and rattle some beads?

If stocks are low, look to those can and do hunt year round and have zero issues in taking a pregnant doe.
