Really G??? Should we talk abortion? ;-)

My views on abortion have nothing to do with my religious views. My views on abortion are an extension of my views on killing another human. The RCC and vast majority of Christian denominations have no problem with killing when it suits them. The same as those without religious views. As a matter of fact, I have found more people that are "non religious" that take the same stance as I do when it comes to killing for any reason. So try again there bubba.

That's all you can post, after 8 years of this BS and that's the best response you have to what is a very serious matter for millions of Canadians. Some vets do care about this nation, I've been lucky to know more than few, but I'm getting the distinct impression that you feel your personal ideology trumps my and everyone elses rights in this country, which is the exact opposite of what this nation is supposed to stand for.

When we have a government that is so detached from not just Canadians but reality itself and shows it constantly by its actions then it's up to us Canadians to stand up for ourselves, not be shoved in a corner by "people" who have clearly forgotten how to care about anything but their own very narrow interests.

Seems to me the conservatives have been doing prety much what the majority of Canadians want. But I am just going by the seat count in the house, not having the insight of an all knowing leftard.

Don't be ridiculous. Harper cheated in the last election (according to Cobalt Kid) and is dismantling Elections Canada so that he can continue to cheat (according to the Cobalt Kid).

The Conservative Apocalypse is upon us (according to the Cobalt Kid) and the Four Horseman are coming.

He really shouldn't be worried about it. See what happened in Quebec? Well, that's what's coming for the ROC.

Why should he hold the same opinion as you?

Absolutely not! What he shouldn't do though is try to impose his belief on the subject upon me as law. Gerry is free to watch his wife or daughter die when a termination would keep them alive (he already said he took this chance once) but he sure as f*ck has no right to demand I do the same thing.

You don't be ridiculous. Harper DID cheat in the last election and he is transferring power to investigate election fraud from elections Canada to the AG who happens to be appointed by the PM and a member of the CPC (or whatever party is in power). Do you really believe a close friend of the PM and member of the party is the one to investigate if the PM and party committed fraud or breeched election laws?

That's the way Politics works, Nick, and you and I aren't going to change it. You don't really believe Mulcair or Junior are going to be any more squeaky clean? If you think so I have a bridge for sale! -:)

Please don't confuse me with all the deluded people in here and out there. I have no illusion that any politician has any interest but their own at heart. I have in fact many times preached about how broken our system is and promoted tearing it down to the ground and starting over without holding expensive popularity contests every few years. A random draw of eligible voters to go serve in Ottawa every 3 years with promise of their job back when their public service is over. No more broken promises by professional liars. Any scandal or fraud to be met with criminal charges and harsh penalties.

The reason the system won't change JLM is because of people like you who accept it and because of the corporate money given to the power hungry so the sheeple believe they have a choice and that any one party may stand for them when reality is that all parties and all politicians are controlled by the dollar and have no interest in actually representing the citizens of this country. If you believe any different I have 3 or 4 bridges to sell you!

You're preaching to the wrong guy, Nick, I've known all that sh*t for years, but what am I supposed to do to stop it, short of driving down Main Street with a machine gun mounted on the hood of the truck blasting away at every thing that moves?

WTF are you talking about?

He believes abortion is wrong. So what??

I've never heard him say anything of the sort. Next you'll be saying he's advocating women sneaking down back alleys for coat hanger abortions.

Maybe you can get a bunch of Pro Choice woman friends of yours to come down and beat him.

You're the one who sounds like a zealot here.

How getting rid of "vouching" is detrimental to democracy is way beyond me - to my way of thinking, its just the opposite.

There are TONS of ways of proving who you are and if you can't provide it, then I wouldn't want you to vote. This whole thing is blown waaaayyy out of proportion. Guess there are some people who have too much time on their hands and have absolutely nothing else to do but bitch.

Yeah, and my name can be added to the list right below Gerry's. I'm a little less rigid possibly in that I recognize there are exceptions to the rule. As there is a big demand to adopt, abortions for convenience are out in my books. What I find reprehensible is it is an issue where the subject has no say in the matter.
