You cant live decently if you arent decent.

And of course more money would make them more indecent. The fix is plainly to hang the loudest dozen amongst them and the rest will work purely from a sense of public duty while chained to their benches no more than ten years for the first offense. It's time governments find out who they work for.

I'm not mislead... you are. You admitted to it being misleading.

YOU FAIL

Hard to argue with logic like this.

So do you or do you not comprehend the difference between how US congressmen are paid and how other elected officials are paid?

Well, they are the only other city with a crack smoking mayor, so that is something.

In my personal experience living in a crack smoking mayor city, it is pretty expensive.

Are you saying that living in Toronto wasn't expensive before the crack smoking Mayor?

You just don't get the point. I cannot help you. Nobody in here has been able to.

Whoever the 'federal lawmakers', ' the members of Congress', and 'the board of directors for the largest economic entity in the world' that spokesdouche and wholly quixotic mr. moron, er, moran is referring to.

ask ol' jim your own self kid, I'm far too busy to do your homework: https://moran.house.gov/contact-me/email-me

have a good day now.
You said "they" are whining. But the OP article is Jim Moran alone, not "federal lawmakers" &c.

Clearly you are too busy to do my homework. Anyone who thinks Moran is speaking for anyone but himself in the article needs a lot of work on reading comprehension.

The cost of living in Toronto has gone up 9% since Ford took office. Obviously correlation = causation. What other reason could there be?

Lol, it seems like you are the one having difficulty here.

And you are incapable of making yourself clear allowing you to drone on and on in an endless stupor.

You couldn't even answer the question... and it was a simple question.

Generally when someone resorts to personal attacks, it means they really understand the subject and have strong points on it, right?

Generally, yes. In this case, I think it's irritation at your insistent, persistent, unending flogging of the dear, departed Flicka.

Congress can raise its own salary. Ergo, if its salary doesn't rise, it's because Congress has decided not to raise it. If the "victims" of this horrible, cruel injustice are also the "perpetrators" of said horrible, cruel injustice, surely there are greater problems that deserve your excruciating attention?

But what about other elected officials? Their pay is misleading!

Like I said before, I really don't care what they are paid.

But in relation to this point, I really don't think that "congress has the power to decide it so everything must be fine" is all that strong an argument when you look at pretty much everything else that they have power over.

But what about other elected officials? Their pay is misleading!

Incorrect. The way you talk their pay is misleading.

I have yet to meet anyone who is paid enough money or even paid what they are worth-:)

Well, I think Rob Ford's salary is pretty high compared to other people who hold the role of Town Drunk/Crack Head.
