That's awful handy... You didn't

Tell ya what, why don't we use your logic and focus on the good things that BHO has accomplished.

I understand that there are/were fewer hurricanes and tornadoes in the recent past... That is sound proof that his individual experience is directly responsible for mitigating Climate Change (insert eeeevil sounds here).

Oh, and almost forgot - he also single handedly killed Osama Bin Laden in between golf games.

Kudos!
Obama's done a few good things. Distressingly few. When you're rational, maybe we'll discuss some of them.

You should know by now that your little trick of putting words in people's mouths don't work with me.

'Twas asked as a question sir. No words were imposed in the least

Have a real fine evening now, hear?

I look forward to my evening... Gonna take the pup for a walk in what is now reasonable, if not very pleasant, weather.

You enjoy yours as well.

Ain't working out so great now, is it?

Looks like practical experience does have some advantages

What would count as "practical experience" when it comes to inheriting an economy in recession and two poorly thought out wars, or working a congress so dysfunctional that it has the lowest approval rating in history?

We need a president who understands business. A president who has run businesses, like George W. Bush. That's the kind of president who's good for the economy.

Dow Jones Industrial Average on Bush's Inauguration Day, Jan. 20, 2001 - 10,587

Dow Jones Industrial Average on Bush's Last Day, Jan. 20, 2009 - 7949

DJIA Today - 16,109

The market has absolutely NOTHING to do with rationality or real cause and effect............

Socialist. Can you imagine if Obama actually tried single payer? There would still be people without insurance, and he would have blown his political capital. There wouldn't have been enough left to even extend insurance benefits to students using their parents plans...

George would be good, but I think young Jeb Bush might be more "the ticket" as he might have all George's knowledge on top of Old George's knowledge! -:)

In many cases America failed Obama. Instead of getting behind a world of change
the right did nothing more than send up verbal flack that in many cases didn't even
make sense. For years they have spewed little more than political rhetoric
the Republicans with their disruptive antics have made America weaker and a
laughing stock on the world stage.

I think all political parties are capable of the same tricks, none is superior to any of the others, they all tell lies and make promises they can't keep.

I really don't agree with you on this one. He had over a decade of experience in government, and lots of experience before that leading community projects, working in academia, and working in the private sector.

What did Obama accomplish as a community organizer, adjunct lecturer, state politician, or US Senator for less than a single term? What experience prepared him for the presidency? Compare Obama's preparation for the Oval Office with that of George Herbert Walker Bush. What conclusions are apparent to you?

Does someone have to run a hedge fund to be qualified to be president?

No.

You honestly think that he is the first person to try to be inspiring?

Why was he portrayed as the "lightworker" by his votaries and acolytes? Check it out:

Did his campaign committee ever come out and call him a murder or dog abuser?

Yes. Stephanie Cutter was involved in both instances.

People on both sides sling mud. We all know all the crap that people accused Obama of. It is part of the political landscape.

Neither McCain nor Romney or their campaigns made personal attacks on Obama because of their fear of being characterized as racist.

What does this have to do with this discussion? The fact is that Romney was a bad candidate, which is a big reason why he didn't win.

Only in part.

Lol, you seem so desperate to make this connection, but you are really forcing it. Yes, empires rise and fall, we get it. That doesn't mean Obama is anything special.

Human history is random, not linear and not cyclical. However, at the individual level it appears to be linear, and a the societal level it appears to be cyclical. The ability of a people to innovate to meet challenges and maintain a form of dynamic homeostasis does influence the timing of collapse.

Of course not. But I was trying to communicate with ODS sufferers in their native language, so I had to talk crazy.

I'm sure France, Germany, and Japan, all of whom have mandatory-insurance systems, would disagree. But I'll let you argue with them.

Well, for starters, that all the stuff H.W. did before doesn't lead to success as president.

You are offering nothing but lame excuses

Obama, as any President, Prime Minister or Leader knows what they are getting into before hand.... They want the position, not the other way around.

As far as experience is concerned, whether you like it or not, it does count.

Precisely. And when people start talking about how tough Obama had it, I just point out that one of the things that makes great Presidents is overcoming tough times and opposition. For example, FDR had an utterly inimical Congress and a hostile Supreme Court, yet he worked his will.

As far as experience is concerned, whether you like it or not, it does count.
There is no relevant experience for being President. It's a Rohrschach blot. Probably the most "experienced" was Calvin Coolidge. He had legislative and executive experience at the local, State, and Federal level. How often do you hear his name in the Top 10 Presidents list?
