Lol. You don't understand how basic sentences work now?

fify

sigh...

The Democrats authored and passed Obamacare... the President signed it into law. Not one Republican voted for Obamacare.

The disastrous law is the sole responsibility of the Democrat Party

You lose.

Obama made one small mistake he should have taken control of the system
period. These managed healthcare gangs control the hospitals, care and the
drug supply. Break that up to some degree and movement would come much
easier.
What surprises me is the number of people at times obsessed with Obama being
the President. Wonder how Ms Clinton will do? She will likely be the next one
as the current Republican crowd is a collection of something its just no one knows
what when it comes to substance.

Oh dear. The Republican Party’s worst nightmare is coming true. Obamacare is working. The news that nearly 1.2 million people signed up last month for insurance through the Affordable Care Act exchanges is highly inconvenient for GOP candidates nationwide. It looks as if the party’s two-word strategy for the fall election — bash Obamacare — will need to be revised.

Overall, the program appears to be doing exactly what it was designed to do: make health insurance accessible and affordable for those who truly need it.

Hee, hee - gotta love these broken record repeat threads. Delusional forum right wingers continue to harp on with their myths and their hate for Obamacare success but the facts are that ACA is working. ;)

It wouldn't have happened. A few moderate GOP votes wouldn't have changed much, other than having those senators aggressively targeted by right wing PACs and swept out of power.

The ACA was the signature policy of Obama, and that really entrenched parties on both sides. Dems had to get it done. As a republican, supporting "Obamacare" was made out to be akin to supporting the holocaust.

You're entitled to your view. However, even a single Republican vote would have allowed the Democrats to legitimately claim the mantle of bipartisanship for propaganda purposes. Instead, the Democrats sowed the wind. America will reap the whirlwind. No polity can survive this level of corrosive partisanship and mutual hatred. America is no exception to this rule.

No doubt it would have been great, but I can't see how it would happen for any reasonable price. Any republican would have needed to bring back a pound of Obama's flesh if they had a chance of keeping their job.

I agree that things are way too partisan, but those are the waters that they swam in. The ACA debate wasn't so partisan because of what happened on Capitol Hill, it was that way from the start because of how it was played up in the public.

Both sides essentially painted the opposition of supporting genocide. They literally were getting everyone to believe that the other side's plan was going to kill a lot of people. When you get that kind of emotion behind an issue, compromise does not come easy.

The Right didn't demonize the Left/Obama until the ACA, as amended, became law. But it was only after Obama had been proven to be a serial liar that the demonization started to succeed with the public. In contrast, Leftists have demonized all people on the Right as pure evil since at least 2004.

Without bipartisan support the ACA will be polarizing and mobilizing forever. That's what happens in the absence of consensus as the US has had on all prior social welfare legislation. This war will be endless and without mercy.

This timeline is simply wrong. The GOP was telling everyone that the law was going to enact "death panels", that would kill off elderly people and kids with down syndrome because they were not worthy of care, back in 2009. Polls showed that 30 percent of Americans actually thought it was true, regardless of the fact that it had no basis in reality.

The timeline is correct. Such charges are part of the give and take of the legislative process. Besides, the allusion to death panels references rationing. Rationing is part of the ACA. In other words, the allegation was true. The ACA established a death panel called the Independent Payment Advisory Board.

Making up lies about the other side wanting to kill your grandmother is not part of the normal legislative process.

There was no "allusion" to death panels(Allusion: an expression designed to call something to mind without mentioning it explicitly). It was an explicit claim made by many republican big wigs.

The Independent Payment Advisory Board does nothing that all private insurance companies do not also do. There is a ton of waste in the healthcare system. Why wouldn't we want people looking into what waste can be eliminated without reducing quality of care?

Seriously?

Anyone who hasn't been the President of the United States should put a lid on it?

I am sure if I go back far enough I will find many instances of him saying many disparaging remarks about the previous President .

Obama Failed - YouTube

Must be a RACICST!!!!!

Obama failed with Iran,Syria,And now the Ukraine. Why is Putin making Obama look like a total failure?

Because he is exactly that, a miserable, cowardly, fallacious and untrustworthy POS.

I just heard that Egypt signed an arms deal with Russia during the Olympics. Does the US really have any allies left? Obama has left the US extremely vulnerable and with all of the world "on fire", what is he doing? Gutting our military and spying on our allies.

Live by the sword, die by the sword. The struggle between the American left and the American right is existential. Unfortunately, the struggle will be go very hard for the United States.

I hear Egypt had Russian equipment in their war with Israel. It went faster in reverse.
