Whatever lie you need to tell yourself, bro.

From the article:

The review found that 35,570 North Carolina voters from 2012 shared the same first names, last names, and dates of birth with individuals who voted in other states.
It neither found, nor claimed to find, that any of these people had in fact voted twice.

Who said they did?

If anything the NRO is guilty of using single quotes to highlight words not being used for their meaning (as quotes sometimes are).

Comprendes?

you know the old story - what goes around comes around:

'Arkansas Pro-Voter ID Candidate Forgets ID And Is Turned Away From Voting' - RawStory

A Republican candidate for governor in Arkansas on Tuesday was thwarted by the same voting restriction laws that he supports when he forgot identification that the state now requires for voting.

Hutchinson told The Arkansas Times that he was meeting a TV crew in Bentonville so they could film him voting early Tuesday morning.

“I realized I didn’t have my ID,” Hutchinson admitted.

The candidate said that he was able to vote after retrieving his ID from his law offices.

Spokesperson Christian Olson told The Associated Press that a staffer actually retrieved the ID, a luxury that many voters would not have.

The Arkansas Democratic Party called on Hutchinson to reevaluate his support of Voter ID laws after the incident.

“We hope Asa’s experience at the polls yesterday will cause him to reevaluate the unnecessary burden the Voter ID law places on senior citizens, students and those serving in the military,” the party said in a statement. “Arkansas’s Voter ID law was ruled unconstitutional and is still under review.”

Although Olson said that Hutchinson found the ordeal to be a “little bit of an inconvenience,” he still supported voter ID laws.

Good! That is what the law is for.

And he did the right thing by getting his ID so he was able to vote.

So, it looks like the system works... Buddy forgot his ID and paid the price.

That said, this list speaks volumes

When I was in a trades union we had to show our Union ID (or book) before we could vote. Not only that we had to show our ID as we entered a union meeting. We were not allowed to enter if we did not have one or if our dues were not paid.

In addition if you were on a job a union steward had to right to check our IDs to ensure we had them and our dues were paid. If one didn't have the ID the steward could send you off the job.
