You know darn well his news coverage would have been local, and that's it, had he not been married to a politician. You're not that blind to reality. And no, Bosma was not a missing depression sufferer, he was a kidnap victim, they're not the same. At all.

Again, the facts of what happened to Bosma were not known when his case was first publicized, yet he received more national media attention than this case.

What are you even arguing about though? This point was a pretty simple one. Somebody said that because it was reported in the media, obviously he is a public figure. That clearly isn't true, since the media reports these things all the time.

What other people want to do with the information after the fact is their choice. If they want to use a tragic event like this to attack everything from the family personally, to gay marriage and the right for gay men to adopt, hopefully karma will balance that out eventually.

Northern Ontario,
And this thread wouldn't have had more than 20 posts if you hadn't started crying after just a few post and kept crying incessantly since then...

Lol, you guys will complain about anything eh?

If I disagree with what someone posts on this forum, I am not supposed to reply to it?

Someone said that the only reason it's gotten the attention it has, is because he was a public figure. And they're not wrong.

Bosma's case was clear from the first report, that he'd disappeared in a potential abduction. It's way different from the way mental illness is treated in the media.

The fact of the matter is, you're making a flawed counter argument, just to argue.

It's because some people are more concerned with winning an argument than finding answers!

What answers?

My post might seem "flawed" to you because you are simply arguing a different point than what I was talking about when you joined in.

Getting media attention for a case like this in no way implies that you are a public figure. Media attention is routinely given to events just like this. If you follow along with this thread, people are using the term "public figure" as code for it being ok to post all of the vile stuff that you see in the original post.

As far as Tim's case goes, the police and the media publicized the issue for the exact same reason as they publicized this. A person was missing and there was strong reason to believe that they were in danger. They believed that the public could assist them in finding the individual sooner. Obviously other parts of the incident are different, but when it comes to bringing the public into the mix, the choice exactly the same.

Lol, read the posts before you get all pissy about something. The point is pretty damn simple. I don't know why you are so obsessed with getting mad at me about anything relating to this incident.

People are so desperate to attack this family that they put blinders on to ignore all the other similar events. Tim Bosma is just the most famous one, but police and the media routinely report stuff like this when they believe it is necessary or will be helpful to the case. If you watch the news for anything other than political attack material, you will see this.

You're wasting your time with Bornruff Karrie, he or she, will only continually argue with you because, he or she, is so insecure with the impossibility that, he or she, might be wrong, he or she, won't dare concede.

LOL!

Whatever you do, don't point that out or, he or she, will think your being p!ssy.

Personal attacks always trump actual arguments ;)
