So, if a foreign navy lands a ship in the most Northern areas of Canada, exactly what is their next move from there?

Probably the same thing that happened to the one they sent to the South Pole in SUMMER.

Then again I cannot think of a single reason anyone would want to invade England anyway. Lousy food few natural resources, lazy workforce, no money and no future.

China? Cambodia? Croatia? Columbia? Cuba? I know, Costa Rica!

No. Canada.

And you've spelt Colombia wrong. Still, never mind.

So, basically what you're saying is that your theoretical navy is best.

It's the best in the world even before our new ships - the best in the world - are built.

Get back to me when you can afford to build a proper vessel... 'Til then, it's a pretend navy

It's being built now. Unlike Canada, which buys second-hand ships from other countries, the British build their own, brand new, hi-tech ones.

New Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carrer

HMS Artful, one of the Royal Navy's seven new Astute-class hunter-killer submarines, will be launched later this year

HMS Duncan, one of the Royal Navy's Daring-class destroyers, the world's most powerful air defence destroyers

One of the Royal Navy's 13 new Type 26 frigates, construction of which will start in 2015

When you have a strong economy that successfully weathered a global recession, you have every right to be proud

I see you're still in denial that Britain's economy is now outperforming Canada's.

Canada's unemployment rate is set to become higher than Britain's this year. Britain's economy grew faster than Canada's last year and is forecast to do the same this year.

It is very different, especially when you consider that the UK's debt to GDP is close to 90%

It isn't close to 90%, as I've already mentioned. It's around 75% - not much higher than Canada's. And whereas Britain's debt is being cut, Canada's is growing.

How things go last year?

Last year, UK GDP grew 1.9%. Canada's grew 1.7%.

Canada's growth forecast was cut last year. Britain's grew better than expected. Canada's growth forecast for this year is also set to be cut.

Those countries where people actually want to go

Like Britain, you mean?

Yes you did spell Columbia wrong.

It's a pretend navy... These ships can't sail and will likely sink like stones in 15 years when the glorious launch is attempted

You do realize that the pic above is a computer simulation, right?

Canada's unemployment rate is set to become higher than Britain's this year.

But it isn't, is it?

We are presently importing Brits to Canada to fill the multitude of job vacancies.

By the by, Alberta alone went without being able to fill 50,000 jobs in 2013... Not enough folk around it seems

It isn't close to 90%, as I've already mentioned. It's around 75%

You're wrong, again... It's almost 90%.

This is the reason that the mighty navy to which you refer leaves only one rickety old boat to defend the homeland and respond to threats as far as 1000 miles away.

Sad

In an age of drones and ICBMs navies have become largely obsolete. Well, vessels on the surface anyway. This story doesnt really mean much.

The Royal Navy's 13 new Type 26 frigates will each be fitted out with UAVs.

No doubt.... Everyone knows that the vessels were of the poorest quality to begin with... It's the reason that there is only one rickety old rust bucket floating that is relied upon to defend the entire island.

Everyone knows that the vessels were of the poorest quality to begin with..

And yet the Canadians still bought them.

And they weren't poor quality to begin with. They were only poor quality when the Canadians got them.

When they entered service in the early 1990s, the Upholder-class submarines (or the Victoria-class as the Canadians now call them) were the best and most technologically advanced diesel-electric submarines in the world.

The British then put them in storage for a few years when the Cold War ended and, during that time, they deteriorated. Then the Canadians bought them - and many have pointed the blame at the Canadians for not checking them over before they paid for them.

It cost the Royal Navy £900m to build the submarines and even if there are some minor problems, Stephen Saunders, editor of Jane's Fighting Ships argues that "there is not something inherently wrong with the class of submarines."

To attack the quality of all RN ships just because a few perfectly good submarines deteriorated in storage is nothing short of ludicrous.

Just like in both WWs, we wanted to help you with your economic woes... When your economy is as strong as Canada's, you don't worry about slipping a few billion to a younger cousin that is hard-up and sucking hind teat financially

And they weren't poor quality to begin with. They were only poor quality when the Canadians got them.

They were of the poorest quality the second that they rolled off the line.

Everyone in the world knows that you guys make terrible products
