A tourist who walked off an Australian pier was distracted by her Facebook feed, police say.
The woman, who was reported to be from Taiwan, fell off a pier in Melbourne around 11:30 p.m. Monday after police said she took "one step too many."
A witness called police and officers on the water were able to rescue the woman about 20 metres from the pier.
The woman didn't know how to swim. She was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police noted there was no need for a lost property report because the tourist "kept hold of her mobile phone throughout the entire ordeal."

Here's a thought. Perhaps you could swim better if you kept things out of your hands!;)

Watching where you're walking would also be a handy skill to learn.

Cellphones should have a warning label on them. "Caution! Objects to fall into/over are more noticable if you actually pay attention to your surroundings. So, pay attention dummy!"
