Should I ever die, and should there be Elysian Fields, I would like them to be like Canada, but with no off-key choirs or harpers.

I wouldn't want industry in a residential area either.

That's why we having zoning.

The problem is much of this has been industry for decades before we had zoning. These people and I use the term loosely are much like the morons that buy a house under the flight path at the airport and then complain about the noise. I once met an idiot near Chilliwack that bought a house in a subdivision next to a pig farm that was complaining about the smell and wanted the farm shut down.

MTL is opening 4 injection sites. I'd rather have a nonprofit supplying safe site than keep paying out of pocket for the spread of disease shooting up in an alley costs.

The entire valley reeks. You can't get away from it. Besides, since when has BC had industry?

Yup if you choose to use a roller to paint the picture of a junkie.

If they are lacking health services you can't call it Universal can you?

Even the ones who do aren't getting the help they need. The majority of junkies are pill abusers not heroin users.

I've noticed lately that Pharmsave is getting quite vigilant about keeping track of peoples' prescriptions, like they won't refill a prescription until the old one has virtually run out. On any day they know pretty well how many pills you should have left. I went in the other day to have some prescriptions filled, there were 4 separate ones, they filled 3 but told me to come back in a couple of weeks to fill my B.P. medication.

Yup, the college of physicians and surgeons is cracking down on Rx abuse. It' costings us hundreds of times more than the coke and heroin junkies are costing us.

Yeah, but WTF in their right mind is going to abuse blood pressure medication? (Oh yeah, I forgot very few of us are in our right mind) -:)

The true measurement of a nation is determined by how it treats its most
disadvantaged. The biggest problem we face is we don't distinguish between
what is an expense and what is an investment for the good of the nation.
We buy everything military these days. Now if we bought subs that worked
or trucks from somewhere other than Italy that would at least plow snow,
it might be an investment. We bought and cancelled helicopter, and we are
buying new jets we don't need and won't do the job. Of course we've gone
from peacekeeping to front line action which means we have to replace
what gets destroyed.
We can't afford to help the poor or see kids get proper meals we are too busy
giving out tax breaks to companies and the wealthy so they can put the money
in foreign banks to avoid paying taxes. How is it we can afford ninety two million
a year for a Senate that is useless and we can't afford to look after veterans who
actually served our country. Our nation has become dysfunctional even beyond
what the Liberals were like. It is time to kick these guys out.
