Maybe he will offer his own place up for these vandals to spray paint his walls?

What do you say Omicron? Let them in your house to express their art?

How about we set up a display of extreme urban art (read: assorted, rotting garbage, rusting heaps of car parts, human waste and an assortment of used needles) in Omnicron's front yard.

It's art - albeit an extreme style of art, but art nonetheless.

Now that I burped T-Bones we can continue.

I agree... I believe an urban art display would be so beneficial for the O-mans neighborhood.

Nope, I'm the victor. It's saps like you who are the victims. And don't even know it.

geez... you're still here. Can you go whimper somewhere else?

Art is all in the eye of the beholder.

Absolutely! I like the whitewash over graffiti look... it is like conquering the natives.

I certainly can. But I don't feel like it, and I'm not whimpering. And there's nothing you can do about it.

Nah, having too much fun snickering at a Marine who thinks that dropping napalm on peasants proves that he's a hard man.

Wouldn't that be awesome if I actually said that?

You understand this is a thread on graffiti being whitewashed in NY right?

Let review shall we?

Yep, just like napalming a village is victory.

Well, well, well...

But Keep going...keep playing the victim... I am enjoying your whimpering.

Just out of curiosity, how am I playing the victim?

I ask in all seriousness, because I really have no idea what you're talking about.

Don't expect an answer really, but I suppose it's worth a shot.

Wouldn't be able to with the house because of neighborhood zoning, but there's a tool shed out back that could use some work.

The problem there is that it needs paint to re-seal the wood, so I'd have to give it a cover anyway, so I could give it a cover in black - because graphiti renders better against a black background - and then tell the high-school art-teacher to let his students go wild, with the proviso that they're going to get graded, and if it clashes with the motif of all the vines and bushes, I'll selectively spray out the unaesthetic parts, leaving those spots open to be re-done by someone who can do it better.

It's curious that the owner would paint it over if the building's due for demolition anyway. It's implies his lawyer advised him to, because it was a popular sight, such that he might get sued for destruction of public art if he were to just go ahead and demolish the building.

Oh well look who's come whimpering seeking answers.

Little T jumps in waving his victim feathers in a topic that had zero to do with napalming villages and everything to do with a building owner whitewashing over graffiti.

So if you tag someones property... you can sue if they paint over your tag?

But if you went there today and did the same thing with a spray bomb it would be called vandalism.

Yeah... vandalism of nature's beauty... which is why graphiti should be restricted to man-made structures.

Personally, if you look at how ugly abandoned structures can look, I don't see how graphiti is anything but an improvement.

I didn't know that vandals followed zoning laws.

Of course they don't, but the question was whethere or not I should choose to voluntarily allow them to graphiti my house. I was just saying that I wouldn't be able to because of the neighborhood zoning regulations.

It further adds to the blight of the abandoned structure... the hopelessness of the area.

Whitewashing is a new beginning... a symbol of starting anew! Art!

I don't think that would stop them... but I bet the neighbors would want you to... lets say... whitewash their art.

What about inside your house? All the walls.
