Most, if not all, of those whining and bitching about the world ending at the hands of man don't believe in that....so........ go for it I say.

If you chose to believe in fairy's or Santa , or God. And you do so because they just tell you it is so and to never question it and have Faith. Your a bigger idiot then most of the people you accuse of being just such a thing on this forum.

people still use those? cheques and mail?8O

Yep. Still happens. One thing about a cheque is they are cleared physically, by image on a computer, but they still get a stamp by the payee's bank so it's a good receipt of payment. I use them for paying the CRA my company taxes as I won't trust their online system.

The title should read. Are humans ****ed.

To answer that... I'd say yes we are... Earth may take a few million years to re-balance itself. And even if it doesn't. I'm sure it will do just fine.

The article author makes the presumption that there is no earth without humans. Like the saying.
"If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"
I feel we all suffer from self importance. This author especially.

Absolutely, if not on one extreme then on the other. Some just want to destroy everything just to satiate their own greed, while others go out of their way to achieve a nice environment without concerning themselves about having the wherewithal to buy something to eat, other than they think the Gov't should hand it to them.

The government have been ill advised, on how to deal with poverty.
'give a man a fish he eats for a day, teach a man to fish he eats for a lifetime.'
The meaning of the proverb is that it is better to teach people to take care of
themselves rather than take care of people.

Your energy would be better spent trying to reform our education system.
It's the one failing to educate, and the human safety net is picking up the tab

We will be either way unless we figure out a way to move to another habitable planet. If we dont and are wiped out the Earth will keep going on its merry way without us til the sun swallows it.

Would you rent another house to a guy who has just wrecked the one he's living in?

The 'teach a man to fish' quote is not a Bible verse, it is a Chinese proverb. The full proverb is 'give a man to fish he eats for a day, teach a man to fish he eats for a lifetime.' The meaning of the proverb is that it is better to teach people to take care of themselves rather than take care of people
What bible verse does the quote give a man a fish he eats for a day teach a man to fish he eats for a lifetime? - Ask.com

Which is worse, contending with poverty or eating fish for every meal for the rest of your life? -:)

I always note that it is lefties who think the world is ending and the righties who have the positive outlook and try to solve the problems.

I guess you would get very creative with cooking fish after some time LOL

I guess if a guy could turn water into wine there is no reason why he couldn't turn fish into venison.

I always note that it is lefties who think the world is ending and the righties who have the positive outlook and try to solve the problems.

You might be better off if you were just to drop this left/right mentality.

I'm not a "righty" by any stretch of the imagination but I don't buy into the "world is ending" bullshyte. So I guess your ideological bullshyte doesn't fly either.

I guess we are both wrong, I, however, did a little more digging than just taking the first link from google.

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to catch fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.
