Here's one just for you - from the elites.
Really? Seems those comments were from simple readers of the many dailies that have sunk so low.
Wow, that's a pretty scathing indictment against you.

Now before you get all twitchy, this is a topic on the morality and ethics of the mayor. Based on the individual morality and ethics of the people... So, lets get down to finding out what that truly means...

I recognize it as sufficient but not optimal.
So it's sufficient when the outcome suits you?

How do you reconcile that to your contradictory opinion when a far more overwhelming majority of Torontonians said they wanted a subway, and you felt dismissing that was more prudent?

Yea yea keep spinning.

It's actually praise from readers to the National Post for not sensationalizing the story. You could say the same about CBC, Globe and Mail and some other outlets.

Hell even Talk radio has humbled people with how they are taking a cognizant approach to the issue.

Could you direct your pointed question to me again?
There's nothing pointed about it.

Asking you direct questions causes you to dance, as we have already seen. They simply terrify you, like somebody might get a glimpse at what lurks under the facade of objective observer your trying to forward.

Look Flossy, you and the rest of your ilk have made the topic about morals and ethics. That's personalizing the issue. You've put your basis for contempt or whatever it is you harbour towards Ford in the spotlight.

You can't do that without backing it up. Just pointing at Ford and screaming "Look! See what he's doing!" looks silly and ideologically driven from here.

So if you really, and honestly want to have an honest discussion, just answer my questions honestly. I answered yours honestly. Which of course does show that only one of us truly does want a discussion.

I already told you that I don't take as much issue with his moral side as I do the fact his fiscal agenda is overrated.

An overwhelming amount of people have various reasons for pulling the trigger and I can't censor them just because neither of us agree with their position.

Can you show me where please.

... as I do the fact his fiscal agenda is overrated.
I agree it's been overrated, but not by much. Despite the amount of spin your sources have applied to it.

An overwhelming amount of people have various reasons for pulling the trigger and I can't censor them just because neither of us agree with their position.
LOL, "censor them" that was lame and betrays YOUR hidden agenda.

Now instead of dancing around with cute scripted answers that are more about evasion than honesty...

I asked...

“He’s the mayor of the people. Let the people decide, not the media, not the politicians, not the councillors. This is about democracy.”

What's wrong with that?

And...

Council does not have the power to remove Mr. Ford from office, but the province can change the law to give it this power. Premier Kathleen Wynne had a carefully worded message for the mayor on Friday, after making an offer on Thursday to give council tools to deal with the leadership crisis on request.
“The mayor needs to pay very close attention to the messages that he’s getting from his councillors, and my hope is that he would take his lead from their advice,” she said.

Wow, that's pretty funny coming from an unelected official, with far more serious accusations being leveled against her and her party.

How do you feel about that Flossy? (To clarify, how do you feel about the hypocrisy of her commentary, or do you think it's hypocritical at all?)

1. I already mentioned in this thread a number of times that I'm a bit more social libertarian.

2. I disagree with your original premise that people cannot be sufficiently represented by politicians.

3. It's not the person in power, it's their values and if they represent the elected they are replacing and the ever changing desires of constituents.

After he's done handing out t-shirts to U.S. journalists and giving his supporters raises.

Doesn't answer my questions.

2. I disagree with your original premise that people cannot be sufficiently represented by politicians.
I've never said that and it doesn't answer my questions.

3. It's not the person in power, it's their values and if they represent those of the elected and the ever changing desires of its constituents.
But you have made it clear that what the constituents want doesn't matter.

After Doug finishes handing out t-shirts to the U.S. journalists and giving his supporters raises.
LOL, you betray yourself at every chance.

I think that whatever the failings are of other parties, it doesn't excuse Ford's dilemma.

No, but it does (in some people's minds) deflect attention away from Ford. Perhaps if CDNBully wasn't so angry (and paranoid) he could just admit to himself that supporting this buffoon was a mistake. You really should go easy on him though. His anger, racism and hate stems from the fact that he feels so disadvantaged for some reason. We should be supportive of him. Most bullies are, after all, terribly insecure.

Oh oh, not even a good nights rest could help you get over being butt hurt.

Look, if I say I'm sorry for pointing out your anger and hypocrisy, will that calm you down and make you feel better?

Feel free to clarify where you've been misunderstood.
Your use of the shifting burden of proof fallacy, aside...

So much for you wanting discussion, lolz.

Ya, you saw him in his own post too eh.

The guys a hoot, pathetic, but a hoot. And you just have to love the hypocrisy of Flossy green repping him for it.

You just can't make this stuff up, lol.
