Yes.. A sport fit for, ah, men.. Yeah men, that's it

Football's a more manly sport than baseball.

In Britain, baseball is a sport for schoolgirls only, except we call it rounders.

American baseball is "silly boys' rounders".

And there are PROPER sporting events involving PROPER sports going on in the world at the moment.

The World Cup of the world's most brutal sport after boxing - Rugby League - is taking place in England and Wales and, in cricket, the Ashes is about to get underway in Australia.

Yet you lot are more interested in the fact that some team with a childish name playing a girly sport that nobody outside America is interested in has just won a sporting event inaccurately called the "World" Series.

Jesus wept.

You do know that they aren't really carrying handbags in that picture, don't you?

In this picture, it is clear that the player is carrying a purse and a new skirt for the fancy dress party after the match...

Someone photo-shopped out the packages, but it is clear - much like the photo with the UK born players sporting the jerseys of Britains favorite team (Argentina) that they all have purses.

Does Ronaldo always strike those poses or is that just a shot of him pranking around with his teammates?

There aren't many UK born players in the Argentina team. Not the last time I looked anyway.

And it's hard to take you seriously when you suggest that an ENGLISH football fan would support the ARGENTINA football team. They are two countries which have a big rivalry on the football pitch as well as off it. And many of us still haven't forgiven the Argies for the Hand of God.

FIFA admitted that they photoshopped-out the purse and packages... Fact.

Now, explain this:

Every youg boy in Britain dreams of playing for the Argentinians... A winning team

I would do if I could see the photo.

But you can say what you like. You're obviously just jealous that British sports like football, cricket, rugby union and rugby league have a vastly greater following around the globe than silly North American sports like silly boys' rounders or the ludicrous hockey on ice.

You come up with a tournament for baseball called the World Series - but whereas the World Cup in football and both codes of rugby is genuinely playerd by teams from all over the world, the baseball World Series features no teams whatsoever from outside North America, which just shows the lack of interest in that sport outside North America.

Baseball and ice hockey and American football and basketball can only DREAM of the global popularity that football has, and it's a dream which seems destined to be unachievable.

The Yanks are desperately trying to get American football big in Britain, but the British are so consumed by proper sports that they just never show much interest in men in tights, kevlar body armour, 1980s shoulder pads and exaggerated, oversized helmets..

Every youg boy in Britain dreams of playing for the Argentinians... A winning team

No, they don't. They dream of playing either for England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland and their club team.

It's not my problem that you excel at all the girlie games and prefer to carry purses onto the pitch.

Again, you are horribly mistaken.... Young children in the UK dream of playing for a winner. Germany, Italy, France and most of the South American teams are winners.

It ain't like they won the Stanley Cup. While we happen to be talking about the worst spectator sport on earth....how arrogant is it to name it the 'world series' when only 1 country plays.

Not to mention that it was fixed.

I showed you the photo

All I saw was a little red cross.

You want to watch some rugby league, pal. The most brutal sport on Earth after boxing (another British-invented sport) with none of the protection that soppy American footballers wear.

No, they don't. They dream about scoring the winning goal for their country in the World Cup Final and scoring the winning goal for their club side in the FA Cup Final.

Well, if they play for the UK, all they will ever have is a dream.

Has England ever won the Championship? I think that you won it once 50 or 60 years ago when there were no real competitive teams.

I expect that Britain will never see a winning season in WC ever again... Now, the Americans on the other hand, will be collecting many World Cups in the years to come.

1966. The sole star on England's top, compared to five for Brazil, four for Italy, three for Germany, &c.

England is one of just eight countries to have won the World Cup. We have won it more times than 200 other countries.

I have to agree there...

Goalie pads and face masks... for a batter! LMAO.

I love seeing glass jawed Brits get beaten to a pulp.

"Football" is a cissy sport compared to rugby.

Goalie pads and face masks... for a batter! LMAO.

All you are doing is highlighting what a lethal and manly sport cricket is.

A cricket ball is a rock hard ball of cork surrounded by leather weighting almost six ounces. They are very hard - harder than baseball balls - and potentially lethal considering they are often bowled in excess of 100mph, whereas the average speed for the much softer ball in baseball is just 70-75mph (a cricket bowler, unlike a baseball pitcher, runs up before bowling). Cricket balls are lethal missiles and make baseball balls look like shuttlecocks.

The danger of cricket balls - and the number of deaths they have caused during matches - was the major factor in introducing protective equipment.

In 1998, Indian cricketer Raman Lamba died when a cricket ball hit his head in a club match in Dhaka. Lamba was fielding at forward short-leg without wearing a helmet when a ball struck by batsman Mehrab Hossain hit him hard on the head and rebounded to wicket-keeper Khaled Mashud.

Other cricketers known to have died as a result of on-field injuries in a first-class fixture after being hit while batting: George Summers of Nottinghamshire on the head at Lord's in 1870, Abdul Aziz, the Karachi wicket-keeper, over the heart in the 1958-59 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy final, and Ian Folley of Lancashire (playing for Whitehaven), in the face in 1993.

Frederick, Prince of Wales is often said to have died of complications after being hit by a cricket ball in 1751, although in reality this is not true; he was hit in the head by one, but the real cause of his death was a burst abscess in his lung. Glamorgan player Roger Davis was almost killed by a ball in 1971 when he was hit on the head while fielding. The Indian batsman Nariman Contractor had to retire from the game after being hit by a ball on the head in the West Indies.

A cricket umpire, Alcwyn Jenkins, died in 2009 in Swansea, Wales after being hit on the head by a ball thrown by a fielder.

Numerous injuries are reported to health institutions, worldwide, in relation to cricket ball injuries including ocular (with some players having lost eyes), cranial (head), dental (teeth), digital (fingers and toes) and testicular.
