Now we are beginning to see the enormity of the problems this current government has. #2 in the House is a Gun Moll. #1 in the Senate is a owner of "Gentlemen's Roadside Rests" hiring 14 year old female runaways? #2 in the Senate is a power broker and #1 in the House is an Egotist. And then we have the eloquent speaker who is masquerading as President.

BS, Obama's healthcare bill has been passed by both houses, upheld by the Supreme court and now the lunatic fringe in the Republican Party only have one shot left in their gun. Obama doesn't answer to the tiny minority that the Tea Party are the front for, mostly people like the Koch brothers who helped set it up in the first place.

He's the President of the US and is working for the entire nation, not one very narrow special interest group that really has no place in Congress. By the time this is over the Tea Party and the Republican Party itself are going to be in tatters.

Think of the Tea Party as lobby group that has inserted itself dishonestly into Congress, should anyone take it seriously?

Too bad for Americans in general, I'd say. Especially the ones not getting paid right now. Frankly I don't think the politicians should get paid when they pull crap like this. It would also add extra incentive to get things going again.

Don't fool yourself into believing that something that the US can't possibly afford is good for 'the people'..... Of which 50%+ don't make enough in wages to pay federal income tax... How will they pay the premiums?

Oh, they can't afford to make sure every american has health insurance but they can afford a trillion dollars to the bankers and another trillion or 3 on a couple of illegal wars. Makes perfect sense to you I guess! :roll:

And do you believe shutting down the govt and the services it provides to veterans and children and closing public parks and forcing 2.9 million people to work without pay while the a$$holes in congress still get paid is the right way to change a law? I thought you were supposed to introduce a bill and have it put to a vote in congress, if it passed there it goes to a vote in the senate, if it passes their the Pres can veto it or sign it into law. Am I wrong about the correct process to amend a law or introduce a new law Wal-nut?

you must be wrong they have free health care for all, the best in the world, there are no poor everyone has free food, housing, schooling all funded by the government and is everyone is totally equal, any slums are due to laziness or ineptitude.

Nonsense, Obama owes them nothing there is a bill with 70billion in cuts
that could be passed tomorrow. The Tea Party wing set out to shut the
government down. They did. Exactly what the Democrats were waiting
for. The Republicans are getting the blame. People are angry primarily
at the Republicans.
All Obama has to do is wait. October 17 is default and if that happens even
American Business will be against the Republicans. Obama doesn't have
to offer them anything, the Republicans painted themselves into a corner
and now they need to surrender or be wiped out.
The sad part is the responsible portion of the Republican Party will suffer as
well.
