Unfortuantley,the oil shipping industry has a bad history of not 'cleaning up its act' until forced by disaster. Double hull tankers were old technology before the Exxon Valdez grounded.
The city of Victoria, BC also has a '
rich tradition' of dumping 100s of thousands of liters of raw sewage into the ocean... Yep, wwaaayyy back in 1842, they started that practice and have dutifully maintained that '
rich tradition' for 170 years.
So, where are you, Cliffy and the Warrior Nation in stomping your feet and thumping your chests on this great eco-disaster that is coming into the anniversary of 200 years?
... That's right - Victoria is where they write all of the cheques to pay the aforementioned... Can't sh*t in your own nest I guess
The sturgeon are finally returning to a cleaned up North Saskatchewan river. and Alberta is not in 'economic disaster'.
How are the fisheries doing South of Victoria?
