Who said anything about raping and pillaging. We are extracting natural resources in as safe and responsible a manner as possible in the hopes that our grandkids will have at least as good a lifestyle as we do. Someone has to come up with the money so freeloaders can suck off the government their entire lives.

Well, it ain't just me, for one thing. For another thing, it ain't your province. I want high paying jobs too. But I also want to leave the planet in decent shape for my kids. It's not al about money. DO it right and I don't have a problem. Try to convince me with dumb commercials that you're serious about the environment when it's obvious you aren't ain't selling.

Yea it IS my province. I was born here. In BC we log, mine , farm and fish. Also dam rivers to sell electricity. Anyone that does not like it doesn't have to move here. To make a poll against the pipelines count it must also ask if the respondent was born in BC. We have had enough of rich retirees from elsewhere telling us we can't have our industries because it interferes with the lifestyle they vision for their retirement. This is especially bad on southern vancouver island and most of the Okanogan.

The sturgeon are finally returning to a cleaned up North Saskatchewan river. and Alberta is not in 'economic disaster'.

The city of Victoria, BC also has a 'rich tradition' of dumping 100s of thousands of liters of raw sewage into the ocean... Yep, wwaaayyy back in 1842, they started that practice and have dutifully maintained that 'rich tradition' for 170 years.

So, where are you, Cliffy and the Warrior Nation in stomping your feet and thumping your chests on this great eco-disaster that is coming into the anniversary of 200 years?

... That's right - Victoria is where they write all of the cheques to pay the aforementioned... Can't sh*t in your own nest I guess
