Damn! Armageddon will have to be put on hold again! The god botherers will be soooo disappointed.
Good lawyering, that. We don't use chemical weapons* and we don't manufacture them currently.
Don't mean we can't whip up a batch overnight if we feel the need. And don't mean we don't store the ones we manufactured earlier.
* By "chemical weapons," I mean poison gas, as defined by the Convention, so I'd take it as a kindness if everybody'd spare me their screeching about how napalm and white phosphorus and dioxin and gunpowder are chemicals.
What about screeching about agent orange, depleted uranium, cluster bombs, and landmines?

Two RAF jets were scrambled from their base in Cyprus to urgently investigate Syrian planes that had crossed into international airspace, it has emerged.
The Ministry of Defence confirmed that unidentified planes legally crossed into Cypriot skies from the east of the country last Monday.
But it is understood the behaviour of the aircraft raised suspicions at RAF Akrotiri, in the British Overseas Territory of Akrotiri and Dhekelia, less than 200 miles from Syria, prompting the rapid response.
A pair of Typhoons were launched from RAF Akrotiri on the island of Cyprus after two Syrian planes entered the nation's airspace. Recent intelligence reports have suggested that the Syrians may be planning an attack on the RAF base, which is on British soil
The MoD deployed six Typhoon jets at the base in Akrotiri, in the British Overseas Territory of Akrotiri and Dhekelia on the island of Cyprus, last month as a 'purely a prudent and precautionary measure to ensure the protection of UK interests'
The aircraft retreated before any action was taken by the two RAF air-defence Typhoons.
A pair of Turkish F-16s are also believed to have been launched in support of the investigation from their base in Incirlik, Turkey.
The Syrian planes are believed to have been Russian-made Sukhoi Su-24s, a heavily-armed fighter bomber that can reach Cyprus, 200 miles from Syria, in just 15 minutes.
A spokesman for the MoD said: 'The MoD can confirm that Typhoon Air Defence Aircraft operated from RAF Akrotiri on Monday to investigate unidentified aircraft to the east of Cyprus; the aircraft were flying legally in international airspace and no intercept was required.'
A military source told the Sunday People: 'Recent intelligence reports have warned of an attack on Akrotiri.
'The RAF Typhoons were launched after sensitive airborne early-warning radarpicked up the "contacts" floying low and fast.'
Akrotiri is one of Britain's largest overseas bases and is home to more than 1,300 personnel. It was used in the air campaign against Gaddafi's Libya in 2011.

An urgent action report prepared by the Russian Defense Ministry for President Putin said that the two Israeli ballistic cruise missiles which were fired by an Israeli Dolphin-class submarine in the Eastern Mediterranean, near the Syrian waters, on September 3 were destroyed by the US Navy, adding that Tel Aviv was about to start the war on Syria on that day.
Though not explicitly stated in this MoD report, but speculated upon, Russian defense intelligence experts contributing to it note that Israel may have been attempting to start this war by an unprovoked attack upon Syria that would be blamed on the Americans and whose effect would be the starting of at least a wide-ranging regional war, or at its worst, World War III.
