Well that is a given. Do you think there would be any seal hunts if our Democrats ran Canada? You could kiss that tradition Bu-Bye.

Should the NDP...shudder....ever come to power here in Canada.........you can bet your booties we won't need the Democrats - thanks for the offer though. They'll be out on the ice in droves for photo ops.

I really think our guys can out lefty your guys.

I don't understand French!

I don't think that is French, JLM.........more like Computer. ;-)

Don't you use Google translator? Works great.

Actually, the Democrats under FDR restored the native rights to ceremonial hunting and traditional practises.
Indian Reorganization Act, 1934[edit]

In 1934 the Indian Reorganization Act, codified as Title 25, Section 476 of the U.S. Code, allowed Indian nations to select from a catalogue of constitutional documents that enumerated powers for tribes and for tribal councils. Though the Act did not specifically recognize the Courts of Indian Offenses, 1934 is widely considered to be the year when tribal authority, rather than United States authority, gave the tribal courts legitimacy.
In 1956, a U.S. Court concluded no law had ever established tribal courts, but nonetheless, decades of federal funding implied that they were legitimate courts.

Sorry, Chief, that hound don't - hunt...

Well jeez..........get busy...........dig 'em up! Could not be any worse than this bunch.

Many, many people have pointed out that our "liberals" are considerably to the right of the "conservatives" of most North Atlantic countries.

I would not be one of them. :p

How's Holly-Wood ever going to make this evil disgusting piece of crap into box office magic? Mr Hope and Change's one miracle has been against all odds to further defile an office thought to be already defiled to the limit.

"divide and conquer"

In case you forgot he got majority support in the election.

In case you forgot, what election? there was no democratic election. American democracy has been dead for decades. He was not so much elected as dipped out of a BAC tank. When was the last honest election in the US of A?

For all Obama's short comings he's a hell of a lot better than the alternative. Just watched a program this afternoon stating the U.S. economy is starting to boom and the markets are headed straight up, contrary to all the naysayers a year or less ago.

Gee, when people said that about Bush's "victory" in 2000's Florida count they were accused of being conspiracy tin hatters.

Yup... as long as the Feds keep printing money.

Starting to boom? You can't be serious. On NPR they said growth was better than expected but added expectations were very low to begin with. A neat little trick to set the bar at the bottom.

Many, many people have pointed out that our "liberals" are considerably to the right of the "conservatives" of most North Atlantic countries.

Which makes me laugh.
