Look at google map right now... We already are at the, one big city parking lot point, take a trip anywhere on earth and zoom in.
It's not what any of us want when you formulate it in the way I did in my last post, sure.

But it's the result of what we are doing none of the less.
So yes, it is what we want in a inconvenient way.

That's what Suzuki understands, and what people that don't understand Suzuki don't understand.
There is to many humans. That is simply the problem.

If there was as many bears as humans on earth, that would be a problem too.
We don't see it as a problem, cause we are biased in favour of humans.

Guess who had his Wheaties this morning...

Backwater, Ontario.
In a story first published on July 1st by Parisian paper "L'Express," environmental icon David Suzuki took aim at the government.

He accused the Harper Conservatives sacrificing environmental protection for the sake of saving money, and says that global warming is Canada's biggest threat.

Suzuki also took an opportunity to slam Canada's immigration system and laws, saying that a ballooning demographic and increasing immigration are causing an unsustainable strain on the demand for the country's natural resources.

You're getting to be quite the mod there, Loc. Pretty righty and enjoying your position of power by dissing the left leaning members every chance.

You might try being a tad neutral.

Bit impossible ??

Fukk you.!!

Honey nut Cheerios actually..

It really did take a big effort to not call anyone stupid or retarded in that last post,
As I'm stating the obvious, and Mr. Suzuki is stating the obvious.

I prefer to take a trip on trails and in canoes. I see lots of wilderness. If I look where people are I see people things, if I look where people aren't is see non-people things. Most of the surface of the land masses of the Earth is still unpopulated.

The infrastructure, roads, electricity, and a few house exist practically everywhere...
Unless the weather is extreme.

There are massive land spaces that are completely urbanized, from one end to the other.

Getting to be? I've always been quite the mod.

I have very little to no 'power' here hector. I'm more of a book keeper. A pencil pusher.

I don't 'diss' a member lest they 'diss' me foist son. ;-)

But anywho...

Who peed in your corn flakes? Your rage seems to have bubbled-up between the 17 hours it took from your first and second post in this thread about an enviro-whacko.

What does being a mod have to do with posting a topic?

I ain't pretty righty (whatever that is). But I am pretty handsome. You jelly?

Nothing is more sure to foment the collapse of the biosphere than the elimination of humans.

Okay, I'll bite... why do you say so?

All of our problems... ALL of them... boil down to overpopulation.

How would subtraction of humans from the earths biosphere threaten it?

There are massive land spaces that are completely urbanized, from one end to the other.

Yeah, ever been to Tokyo?

Yep. Pretty soon it'll only be big-brother-sanctioned, neutral and 'safe' forum topics, responses and opinions.

Kinda like the reading list in a doctors' waiting room.

But even then, there will be the whiny ones that can't resist complaining about stale-dated popular mechanics or a francophone sélection du readers digest. And then cry moar when nobody pays them any mind.
