No, what they need to be taught is responsibility, not that the can kill the product of their irresponsible dalliances.

I'd settle for mandatory birth control implants at age 11 (and reversible sterilization for the boys), to be reversed only upon a showing of the financial and psychological wherewithal to support a child.

Nice try at a comparison but....

Not only a "nice try" but a very valid comparison. But Nick, if you to choose the anomalies that suit your contentions that's your business, but it's hard to defy logic.

Those "young girls" can always give the baby up for adoption, no one is "forcing" them to raise the child.

I'll be rational for you pal. You take that 6 or 16 week old fetus out of the host and see if it is a living breathing human being. Your belief it is a living human will be disproved in less than a minute. That is the true test, not your religious opinion or the opinion of any doctor but the fact that it won't live at all even with all the scientific help we could provide.

What would you call a six to sixteen week old fetus? A turtle? A tumor?

what kind of fetus? A dog? Cat? Horse? Frog?...... oh right, that would be HUMAN...duh!

You've hit on the crux of the matter, Gerry. I haven't seen anyone yet come up with any species except human. Now people will argue that it is not living. But they can't seem to come up with another example of life after death, except for Christ's resurrection.

No G. It's just a fetus. It isn't a human until it's born and can sustain life functions on it's own.

It can't "sustain" life functions on it's own even after it is born. It still requires another human to sustain and nurture it. Main difference is before it is born it's all automatic, after it is born someone needs to make a concerted effort.

I don't buy the resurrection story either. You may be that gullible but I ain't.

The point I keep trying to make which all you 'christians' miss entirely is that you are welcome to your beliefs and to make choices based upon them but I am also entitled to my beliefs and to make choices based upon them. What I decry as asinine is you trying to force your beliefs and morals upon me. I don't want your belief system. I never asked for it or your opinion on my belief system so why don't you go live your lives like the happy, gullible little believers you are and leave the rest of us to live our lives as we see fit.

People who cannot sustain life functions are DEAD! No life functions = no respiration & no heartbeat = dead! Is that too hard of a concept for you?
eh careful there, many of these believers like to hook old folk up to every machine conceivable regardless of the suffering caused... that's the other end of the debate
