You obviously have not done your homework. If that was true, why is it that the American military, for instance, has a composition similar to its population, whereas the Canadian military is made up of over 95% white Caucasian??

But, if you want to go there, and find out why 95% of the army is white..... a quick perusal of army sites states...

As of 2001, visible minorities in Canada constituted 13.4 percent of the population. Of this number, approximately 73.4 percent were immigrants, meaning that about three-quarters of the visible minority population in Canada was either first generation or ‘1.5 generation’ Canadians.5 Most of this migration occurred after 1971, with about 50 percent of the visible minorities arriving in Canada between 1981 and 2001.

That would make roughly 5% of the visible minority population landed, immersed, Canadian citizens with a support system. So, that doesn't seem off base.

I note, again, after just a quick perusal, that the US also has programs encouraging diversity, implying that their army is not the perfect representation of their country that you're making it out to be.

Seeing what the adherence levels of second, third, and further generations of Muslim girls was like to the mere hijab, I really can't see the burqa being the massive threat to Western society that some think it is.

I stand by my opinion of it, and wouldn't hesitate to say it's a subjugation of women, but I don't feel the need to strip women of it forcibly and give their husbands religious justification to keep them locked away in their homes as an alternative.

I think you got lost in your own numbers!!

First of all, your using old stats, 2001.
Here are the most recent stats.
The Daily — 2011 National Household Survey: Immigration, place of birth, citizenship, ethnic origin, visible minorities, language and religion

As you can see, Canada is made up of 19% visible minorities.

Using a simple ratio, if Canada has 19% visible minorities, then our military should have about 19% visible minorities. We are no where near this number!!

I do a lot of volunteer work, runs/walks etc, in these functions, again about 90% of the participants are Caucasian.. Nowhere near the 19%. You don't need to be in Canada long to volunteer your time to a good cause.

But yet, whenever I visit hospitals or medical clinics, guess what, these visible minorities are very well represented in obtaining the health services!!
And of course, when it comes to the work place, yeah, here again you hear them whining because they don't feel they are well represented!!

Even at 20%, 75% new immigrants leaves 5% visible minority who are settled to volunteer for military service.

And yes, immigrants take medical care. They also provide it. They also take jobs white people won't, where they are OVERrepresented, like housecleaning, janitorial, minimum wage.... you're demanding new immigrants be just like you, and they're not. It's a fact of life.
