Because the trial played out like some cheap porn flick.
Perfect Hollywood story, lots of Sex and Violence..
I find it grimly ironic that she is pleading for her life, something the poor victim in all this (the man who was horrifically butchered) more than likely did before she slaughtered him.
Naow, naow, 'the MAN' allegedly penetrated her, uhh, 'tushie' with one of his body parts.
That should win her full acquittal and a massive victim's settlement...

32-years old and she appears in court with little girl bangs? As if that is going to make a difference in the face of her repeated lies to everyone including the jury. I watched her allocution speech and almost threw-up when she held up the survivor T - can you imagine being a member of Travis' family and seeing that word - yeah she survived but their sibling is dead and in the ground. Recycling, traced pictures, book club and pieces of hair? - and that's a reason to keep this butcher alive - gimme a break. Then she holds court with the media - again. Will her narcissism never end???
That said, I doubt the jury will vote for death.
Sex - kinky sex and lies from beginning to end from the killer. That and the fact that she killed Travis many times over. He knew he was dieing as he crawled from the shower to the bathroom sink, blood spouting from multiple wounds only to see her in the bathroom mirror coming behind him with the knife grabbing his head bending it back and slashing his throat from ear to ear. All that after she had shot him in the head.
That and she is a media seeking narcissist who seeks attention any way she can get it.
She also stated at one time that she wasn't even there then changed it to a home invasion type murder then finally that yeah she did it but it was self-defense. Nothing that this butcher says can be believed because time again it has been proven that she lies every chance she gets.
It's not actually all that bad! They have a sherriff in Phoenix that pretty well keeps all prisoners in line and very few of them return for a second dose!

Bitch is way to kind a word for this vicious butcher, JLM. The reason Travis Alexander is dead is because this killer decided if she could not have him - no one would and set out to make absolutely sure of that.
Yet somehow I doubt that she will get the death penalty. All it will take is one person who votes for life.

There is no suffering year after year after year if someone is dead. It's an out for the prisoner.
Sheesh, I've heard nothing but good things about the man. But I guess there's exceptions to every rule!
