OK, I see what you were reading, and yes, a 'small' number of seats are available at those prices, not
sure where those seats are, but definitely a promotional price to bring people in, and definitely
cheap.
I wouldn't pay 3.00 to sit at ice level beside one of those loonies who bang on the glass all thru
the game, those tickets would be expensive just to get a chance to smack one of those idiots 'side
of the head', lol.
Can you imagine having to sit beside, or behind that person, after having paying a big price for your
ticket, and put up with that insanity, or, someone sitting behind you, spilling their
beer down the back of your neck.
It may seem like head coach Dan Bylsma has done it all in his four-plus seasons behind the Penguins bench. That’s because he has.

oilers tonight.
They had quite a run at the beginning of the season, over 20 games without a loss, they are definitely
the best team in the NHL all of this regular season, BUT, that is the end of that, in a few days season
will be over, and the 16 teams remaining will 'all' be starting from scratch.
a new season, a playoff season, the stanley cup will be up for grabs, and no team has any advantage over
another, and I wouldn't go out on a limb and predict the winner, haven't got a clue.

I just finished reading an article about how fans are now going to be 'soaked' for play-off tickets, talloola. Tickets in some places will rise as much as 50%. Sheesh.
Also wanted to congratulate the Leafs for finally making the play-offs - I know they are not a 'popular' team here but good on them for doing so. Wonder if Burkie's leaving had anything to do with it - nah, couldn't be. :smile:
yep, same every year, the tickets go out of reach for any sane person, glad for my big tv.

shots on goal, oilers about 16, wild about 40.
this game was crucial to minnesota, they are sitting 8th in the western conference, tied with
columbus. this game certainly didn't help them
tomorrow detroit play dallas, minnesota play colorado and columbus play nashville, and

In other news, much is being made of the hit by Gryba on Lars Eller. Yes it was ugly and Lars will be out for awhile - do wish him well, but it was, IMO, a clean it with an bad outcome. Diaz had a role to play and needs a lesson in puck management and Lars needs to keep his head up. Probably the worst thing was that the Habs given the chance to real get a jump on the scoreboard, failed to do so and in the end the Sens took the game.

the league apparantly has some questions about that hit, he has a phone hearing today, they must
have some concern about the hit, or they woul not have contacted him.
They were saying that last night, talloola. It did result in Gryba being given a game misconduct and a 5 minute major. Much of the blame so far seems to be on Diaz for a 'suicide pass.' It wasn't interference as Eller touched the puck. I gathered that due to the misconduct call, the discipline committee automatically has to review the hit.
I just watched that hit too. I am with you two. IMO if that guy simply goes to his stomach and pops up the hit would be uneventful but, like many hockey hits his body got in a weird position and he went face first in the ice. Ugly, bloody and scary but I really didn't see that it was vicious.

Nope. I watched the hit over and over as it was replayed during the game last night and again today on various websites covering the hit. It was a clean hit the way I saw it Eagle. Lars simply couldn't get his hands up in time to protect his face.
Just read that Eric has been suspended for two games by the NHL disciplinary staff. I guess I was watching a different game then then them. :roll:
I was just looking for shanahan's suspension video, and reason for the suspension.
Can't find it.
Some say he gave him the suspension just to keep him off the ice, to avoid trouble, but I don't
agree with that, that would be unfair, if he is suspended, there is an 'on the ice' reason from
shanny.
'In my opinion', it was a bit of a 'blindside hit', player was in a very vulnerable position, and
there was absolutely no reason to hit him that hard, because of his position on the ice. 'He
could have accomplished' what he needed to, with 1/2 that hit, and no one would have been injured.
And he is the only one who had the time and ability to 'not' hit him like that, it wasn't necessary.
The pass was on the way, the player was trying to receive the pass, and the hit
was way way overkill.
That is how I see it.

Yeah that was a hockey play. It was a bad call IMO that it drew a 5 min major but I know they are being very hard on anything that remotely looks like a head shot... and if they didn't have the right angle on it, could have missed it easily. I don't really agree with the suspension, as I think they are taking too much onus off players to protect themselves but it is what it is.
Hope my Isles do better tonight but I'd be lying if I said I believe they can last more than 5 games against the Pens. That being the case, I'm glad to see Sid back and hope Iginla finally gets his ring.
Not sure I like the Caps but Ovechkin finding his way back into superstar form is good for the game, even if I think he's an idiot. OK I don't like the Rangers either so it doesn't hurt my feelings that way.
The Bruins looked good against the Leafs: I think that has mismatch written all over it.
Nice to see Detroit fighting back against the Ducks but I think the sands of tide are flowing in Anaheim's favour, even losing home ice.
LA getting bounced would be pretty much par for the course in today's NHL, but I don't think St Louis is in it for the long haul.

see them beat pittsburgh, even if its only for one or two games.
yeah, ovi seems to be back, and that is good for the game, although I still don't like watching him play,
he is the messiest player in the NHL, lol.
Leafs are toast,
Detroit really needed that game in the overtime, or they would have been all done I think.
They fell apart in the last period, and anaheim ramped up their game, big time.

team, didn't complain once, worked very very hard to bring his team up to snuff,
and with some added players, they are making their way.

Watched the Rangers and Capitals today - heck of a game, went all the way to OT when Washington managed to squeak one by Lundquist. Both goalies were good.
Canada defeated Denmark 3 to 1 in their first game of the IIHF World Hockey Championship today. Lots of good plays by our guys once they got their feet under them - took a period but they managed to get on track for the 2nd and 3rd.
They were by far the better team last night, wulfie.........though it pains me to say so. After Sid scored those two goals, I thought it would be a blow-out like the first game. Gotta give the Isles credit, they played solid hockey. Travares was outstanding. Good on the Isles.
The Isles didn't make it easy but an OT goal got my Pens the win - Rock on Pens.
Watched the Leafs game too, so glad to see Phil get his goal and the Leafs their win over the Big Bad Bruins! Rock on Leafs.
What a miserable game that was between the Habs and Sens. The brawl was just the final point on a melt-down by the Habs.
And in IIHF play - Canada lost to the Swiss in a prolonged shoot-out that saw nine skaters before the final winning goal by the Swiss who took it 3 to 2. Both goalies stopped some great shots.
