Never heard of those guys.

I forgot until just now - sometime this winter I went out onto my deck at about 10pm. It was dead silent up here on the mountain and the snow made it seem even quieter than usual, when all of a sudden I heard a very loud cry. Very strange sound. Nothing like anything I ever heard in the 30 years I have spent living in the forest. My mind went straight to Sasquatch. I heard it several times within about a 5 minute period, then nothing. I know a few people who believe they have heard Sasquatch cry in the forest.

You should be asleep!

When you are asleep, you slip easily between parallel universes. But don't linger too long, else you'll disappear from ours.

Big Foot is blurry because he doesn't normally inhabit the 3rd dimension. What people see is mostly an apparition. Occasionally it does fully manifest here and leave physical proof like hair and foot prints. I knew a Doukhobor woman who claimed to have had contact with them up in Valhalla Park across Slocan lake from New Denver. They used to play tricks on her when she was camping up there. I'm sure that she believed her experiences were real, but not having had any myself, I reserve the right to be skeptical until I do.
It's natural cyclical time clashing with man made linear time.

Dead fall trees that didn't fall were rubbing in the wind making squeaks and groans.

Where's the fun in that? I have heard many a moaning and cracking tree in my time and many other strange sounds but nothing like I heard that night.

As long as the crows don't sound like they are saying "Dad, dad, dad", you'll be fine.
Heard a loon earlier and the bears are starting to wander out of their dens looking for skunk cabbage to blow out the bowels. All will be right soon.

Here we have ducks and geese sitting on top of 3ft of snow that has their slough or pond below securing their mating grounds.

They look ridiclous just sitting there starving and waiting for the melt.

Sunny here heading for 12 C. Expecting to see a bear any day now. There has been a few hundred geese in the farmers field down the road for a month now. A pair of Mallards have secured the pond at the end of our drive way.

Were are to finally hit +0 today.

Yesterday while it was shady my thermometer showed +10. The snow disappeared off most everything. The hill in the park out back is now bare, my yard melted away to reveal a firepit we didn't know we had. And flower beds started peeking out. Today, we have a heavy snowfall warning.

Honestly, I think it's all my fault, because I want so badly to see what my yard is like.

Roads? Who needs roads? We have an amazing trail network for sledding, trail bike, horseback hiking and mountain biking with full signage and better maintenance than the roads of African nations.

Someday I'm going to get a camel and do the 5000km+ system.

Was an entire Inuit village near Lake Angikuni (Anjikuni) abducted? The RCMP say, "No!"

A fascinating read!! It opens many possibilities but who knows? Strange things happen. I saw that movie The Fourth Kind. That movie ties in with this because they claim people have disappeared with no explanation. While I found the theory a little off, I have no reason to think she killed her daughter and it could not be proven that she did. And there is no body.

At the end of those bizarre movies I am always left wondering why logic just can not explain what actually occurred. People can mock all they want but they can't explain.

I don't know a thing about Care Bears but I do know there are occurrences that have no rational explanation.

The neighbour's white cat is going to disappear; our forecast is for 20 cm of snow over the next two days!
8O okay I shall quit complaining about our freezing rain then and you can keep your 20 cm.
