First of all if the person was drinking and or abusing drugs they should be denied
the intent defence period.
As for the nice young men they are not. It is OK according to some to use an
underage girl like that because she was drinking, nonsense. No she should not
have been drinking but she did. People get drunk as well but they don't go around
committing the crime of rape either.
As for these fine gentlemen, small town Ohio sounds like football Friday Night and
Jesus on Sunday. The football towns defend the actions of the teams its happened
before. After all what is so bad about these guys sexually assaulting a young girl?
They keep their hair short and wear a tie on game day so they can play right?
Their families I have some sympathy for as I am sure they did not bring their kids up
to behave like this. Its not the family its the boys who committed the act that are to
blame and they should pay full price no deals. If the coach knew and did nothing,
the coach is just as bad and deserves the same jail time and anyone else for that
matter. The message should be enough is enough
