I'm not sure what that has to do with helping people get a roof over their head if they can't find one.
It has to do with solving the problem as opposed to applying perpetual bandages that never address the root cause. Fact is: You can expand the welfare system all you want; all it will result in is the need to expand it further.
As per my statement earlier that the DSM book of mental health conditions does NOT include an idea of what 'normalcy' actually is; it's fair to say that everyone walking the Earth has a mental health issue.
This being the case, at what point are we expected to take responsibility for ourselves and what point is that person (or 'we' according to DSM) a ward of the state?
You wanna advocate for the state to take control - then don't bitch about the quality of options (or lack thereof) that are offered.
