I love a good argument there are some great comment on both sides. As for the fires
you know this might be a reserve issue but most of the bloody forest fires we have are
caused by all kinds of people with boats and campers and a couple of cases of beer
that are too damn lazy to put the fire out. We have people who won't smoke in their
car, they get out have a smoke and burn down the bloody forest.
This fire we don't know yet, but it started right next connector that is a short cut to the
coast. I think the hunting dogs would be on the right track barring a meteor striking the
earth.
The real question I have is why is it that everything has to degenerate into accusation
and recriminations, oh I think we all do it but why?

It has been declared that the fire originated from the reserve....but do take into consideration its fall and its harvest time. Fires during harvest are not unusual and not all fires are started by smokers. Unfortunately due to the winds again this has become a wildfire that is threatening large communities. The latest on the scanner is that the fire is indeed closing in on west Lethbridge.

I didn't say I had a problem with that. The following comment is what I took issue with (I'm just wringing my hands thinking of all the coin to be made.). I'm sorry, but how does that not sound like you're excited?

One nice thing, not all Albertans are out for the "almighty buck",

The fire, which started on the Blood Reserve, has crossed the river, and all efforts are being made to contain, according to Johnson, as the city has issued a state of emergency. He added that could allow the city to activate private equipment in the firefighting efforts.
Johnson did mention many private contractors have already volunteered the use of their equipment.

I have no problems with gerry,I have known him a lot longer then most of you have.
Maybe shiv you should send the same message to him?
He made it clear many times on his preference for bi and I have no problem with that.
So why do you have a problem with it?
He has no problem posting any of my info.
The forum trolls here have no problem going back a year to find some post of mine, yet you call me a troll?

Too funny.

I've already explained it in the PM. It's all about the tone in which you made the comments.

Still listening to the scanner, very interesting!
I would be there if I was back home.
From what I can hear the priority is on tack1 forestry frequency on this link, the rest is red deer RCMP.

This is live forestry channel

http://audio7.radioreference.com/818576601

They are requesting heavy machinery and more equipment.
Coalhurst is still under evacuation order and highway 25 is also closed, south to lethbridge closed, open to picture butte.

Wild!

My niece lives in the North end of Lethbridge, she said they had a lot of smoke but that it is getting much better.

Bunny and I are less worried for our sister who lives on the west side. They are talking now of possibly reopening hwy 3.

Sounds like things settled down a bit now.
It was a good thing the wildfire crews were on standby before this.
Maybe now after this fire Lethbridge will start considering a fire break around the city.
A grove of trembling aspen would work fine. Those are the only trees that never burnt in the lost creek fire.
Glad to hear it's over, this could have been real bad with our winds.

Sounds like it is now contained to the coulees.

Apparently fire crews from rigs in S.W. SK headed off to help. My friend just phoned and is coming to the big city for beer and golf, she has the day off until the crews are back from AB.

In among being a master blaster, an expert hardrock miner, a pipeline welder, a road builder, a powerline technician - all with many years experience in the field (or is it watched it on TV all those many years ago - but it still counts, right?) yet yu still have all this extra time to police (troll) the internet, when did you find time to be a wildfire expert too?

See why the spidey senses detect bullshyte?

I wear many hats and yes,I work the wildfire line on man up when the season hits building fire breaks, when you work 35 years in the energy industry you meet a lot of people and if you dont burn any bridges you will allways have a job.
I am not the only one who works like this, most of my buds do also and I find it amazing you cant grasp how some of us have to work when there is no industry in your hometown.
Now let me address some of your lies as my memory is probably better then yours.

I never said once on here I was a master blaster, maybe you could find the post though if your going to claim this?
I have worked on blasting crews, with 22 years in a hard rock mine you move around a bit, trying to find your niche.

I have never been a pipeline welder, maybe you could find this post also where you claim I said this?
I was a pipeline inspector.
I was never a powerline tech, never said that either so you best post that claim also.
I do contract reclamation and road and structure work for 3 huge powerline companies.
pics have been posted on all my jobs.

So sorry I just burst your bubble, you obviously wont be able to find any of my posts that back your claims either.

Here is a pic of my crew for wildland firefighting,20 minute man up in the Kananaskis country at the gap forestry camp last year, some Albertans will have seen this while cruising Kanny country.

It blows my mind that some people think you have to stay with one job all your life,I tried that for 22 years and would have probably slit my wrists by now if I stayed.

I have the best jobs in the world in my mind, and I can work anywhere in 3 provinces and the territories with a phone call.

I really feel sorry for some of the members on here that have to attack my every post, your wasting your time,I just shake my head and feel bad for you for maybe a second.

Your spidey senses are just that, now unless your a spider then who really cares what you have tingling?

My life is good,it has not allways been good but I moved on to better things, maybe you should try get rid of that hate thing you got right now and concentrate on your own life? Maybe make it better to the point your are happy enough with your own life that you dont have to go after someone elses?

Seriously wolf,I thought you were more above the personal attacks.
I also sat in on many addiction group therapy sessions and allmost became a counselor.
So that's not on my resume.....yet.

Anyway, thanks for attacking the topic poster like a few others did.
These fires are near my home,I'm 700 kliks from there watching it on facebook from a hotel because I cant get local tv news on the fire.

Yet you use this topic to post a whole bunch of lies that I will wait for you to substantiate.

I work 13 hour days wolf,I'm still back in my hotel room with an hour to kill on the net,so lets see these posts I made ok?

One by one the regulars here make claims they cant back up.
Let her rip buddy,I'll wait ok?

Go dig em up,I see Tonns. here so maybe he can go search also!
lol!
I turn 51 in a week and I still have a photographic memory so fill your boots because I know you cant.

You never mentioned I was the first white guy(kablunak) in the arctic to win a reclamation award from the KIA.

I like accomplishments,I kick guys like you to the side when they get in my way with their negativity.
Step aside and quit whining.
My 70 videos and some of building ice roads in the arctic also blows away your last lie.

Do you all ways lie like this? You should apologize and explain to the other members that you lied.I wont hold my breath though.
