CPC doesn't have a the majority of seats in the House? Well then, who does? Are you real? Harper was voted in by the "majority of Canadians." Were you in a drugged haze for the duration of the election?

When somebody says "majority of Canadians voted for Harper" did it ever cross your mind the "Canadians" mentioned are limited to the voting public by default?
Probably not eh?
There are exercises for the brain, petros, that can improve comprehension.Whether they will be enough for you is questionable since you need a lot of improvement.
Even if the commies and libs got together they still wouldn't have more seats than CPC and that is what makes a majority a majority. And it was still a minority and not a very substantial minority. Dis you, too, miss the election?

What are tar sands? It does kind of make one despair for some, doesn't it? So often there is no obvious attempt made.
The tar sands developments are a triumph of the I'm not hearing anything but what is in my head already mentality. This is how significant and important developments sidetrack themselves. The refusal to recognize the better ways of doing things just puts them in the backwater. I expect that, if there isn't an improvement in corporate and governmental attitudes towards the environment and the economy, the Fort Mac area will be shut down and obsolete, except for clean-up which we will have to pay for, inside of 5 - 10 years.
Our need to be responsible for our surroundings, and our impacts on them is going to continue growing at this much improved pace. Think about it, how stupid are supporters of the pipeline going to look if the pipeline were built and then closed down early because ecological/economic awareness won't support the use of its contents.

What are tar sands?
Has the CGS EVER called them tars sands? Yes or no?exactly, exactly, good question. Those would be the sands with tar in them, as described for close to a hundred years of Canadian history, which people, increasingly of late very short sighted people, are trying to develop against the flow of modern intelligence. But not necessarily something that you have to be aware of.

So sands with oil in them must be called....Wait for it. OIL SANDS.
Who were the humans who distilled the bitumen and left behind tar? Tar is a man made substance.Yes.
Any other questions?.
Yes.

"Bob co-founded R.M. Hardy & Associates Ltd., in 1951, the forerunner of Hardy
Associates (1978) Ltd. (Figure 3), which engaged in foundation engineering and design,
construction of earth dams and airports, investigation of structural failures, muskeg and
permafrost terrain constraints, pipeline construction, and mining of tar sands."
Any other questions?
So I expect that as we find sands that predominantly have oil in them we will call them oil sands, meantime we are stuck with tarsands, and ones that have such dirty fuel in them that we should be leaving them alone. Until that better way of extracting, and using the product is found. Which will happen.
Yes we do have tar sands. It's what we use to pave bike lanes. Good intentions makes for lousy pavement. We currently do not have any tar sands that I am aware of. If you know of any let us know as thousands of roofers are interested in pre-graveled tar.
Still projecting your psychological problems on others I see. Harper has a MAJORITY government. That means that more people voted for the Conservative MPs than any other party. Hence the term MAJORITY. Look it up.

Nope. You posted an article in a CGS publication that refers to it as tarsands but that isn't a CGS defniition of the deposit is it?So did the CGS ever refer to them as tar sands, ever?![]()
