I hate wars too, guess we all do

What I hate most is - that a few control freaks in the world make warlike decisions that affect
all of us, and all of us, including the populations of the so-called terrorism countries, don't
want wars either.
The few control freaks lie to their people to convince them of things that are mostly false, and
on it goes till most countries think other countries are out to get them, and it is just the few,
eg. hitler, bin laden, and many of the western leaders as well, its all such a huge misunderstanding,
but those who want war, make sure it happens.

Those few control freaks become leaders, that has to stop, how do we do that, as none of us
peace loving people want their jobs.

Its a vicious circle, and doesn't seem like it will ever stop.

We are all being led around by 'sick f''ks, and we do nothing about it.

I don't think harper is one of those types, but he is caught up in it like many others, and
he doesn't know how to change it either.

Suicide bombers are tricked into doing their dirty deeds by control freaks, so they are
doomed by their sick beliefs.

I don't know the answer, guess we never will.

First I would like to deal with the banner line I hate wars. No one likes war however it
should be pointed out, science required to prosecute a full blown war often benefits the
entire society for a generation or more. The world advanced more in the five years of
WWII,,(for our American Friends Canada and the rest of the world did the heavy lifting
from 1939) than in the previous two hundred.
In addition the things we developed from the space program enhanced civilization for
decades.
As for Syria. we are witness to a nasty civil war and we should not become involved in
any way what so ever. What would America be like if the powers of the day had come
in and imposed a settlement or divided the nation. Look around Vietnam had a war for
more than a generation because we imposed South and North, Korea is another
example od division and intervention in a civil war. When they get tired of killing each
other they will signal they want to talk. Besides the guy in power is a rotten bast*rd
the people who would come to power will be even worse and our kids will have to go in
and fight a bigger war. It is time to let the worlds conflicts settle themselves, and make
sure the are not allowed into this country to continue the nonsense here.

No "Ann Coulter" AKA taxslave (lol) Canada was not involved in the Vietnam war. Some Canadians enrolled through the U.S. military, that's it..and later granted U.S. citzenship if they survived.. lol

Better check farther because in about 1986 I worked with a guy that was in the Canadian army in Vietnam. He had serious problems that I now think would be PTSD.

According to Wiki Canada had troops in Vietnam in 1973 to enforce the Paris Peace Accords. But you are free to believe whatever you wish.

The Canadian Government was neutral, not directly involved in the war.. however, "Canadian's" did play a big part, close to 30,000 enlisted in the US military.

Canada's Involvement In The Vietnam War

Technically, Canada took a "neutral" stance on Vietnam. That being said, many Canadians fought in Vietnam with the americans.

The person I knew was in the Canadian army and did see fighting. Even peacekeeping troops get fired on.

Yeah, I sat up on a hill side over looking a military base in Nevada.. I saw military exercises and target practice on old tanks.. doesn't mean I took part. I saw fighting..

I think that Canadian army guy is giving you a little guff. You know pulling your leg.

So now that you have been outed as Ann Coulter.. LOL I always had one question for you.. you have a very big Adam's apple, are you really a dude..

Canadian troops were stationed along Ben Hai valley - the Seventeenth Parallel - as observers as part of UN's commitment to the Paris Peace Accords between 1973 and the end of 1975

Must have had that confused with the Vietnam war, neither war accomplished much..

As taxslave has pointed out, our troops were there but in American uniforms. From what I've read for every draft dodger that escaped to Canada a Canadian went south to take their place in the army. That was another pointless war though in any case.

Tax all war profits and this will go a long way towards ending wars.

Not a bad idea. Particularly for the US.

So you're saying they were in combat so could be considered as being IN the Vietnam war.
I think I said they were stationed along Ben Hai Valley to observe. If you choose to interpret observation as combat, that would be up to you - no matter how incorrect that may be. Be advised that observers quite often get in the line of angry fire.
