The RCMP has become their main focus and rather than doing some real reporting they just like the tabloid stuff.

Absolutely, in B.C. over the past five years there have been literally dozens of cases of alleged R.C.M.P. impropriety, some of it probably unjustified, but a lot of it totally justified. For the "unjustified" cases, it's just like the wheel falling off your truck in that they should not have put themselves in that position to begin with.

Would YOU put your name on a byline if you planned on going through Canada Customs any time in the future?

Absolutely I would. I'm doing it right now. Every knows my name here and those who don't wouldn't have much problem finding out.

Here it is.

the police 'killed' this man, no one else, one can blame all others involved with whatever their

mistaes were, but none of them made a decision to kill this man, the police did, they murdered

him by making a decision that was 100% wrong, they took a life, they were the cause of his

death, none of those other dummies were, the police were, they should have known better.

The police should have subdued him, got him settled somewhere where he could relax.

They made a decision to kill him, after deciding to taser him, they didn't even have the intelligence

to do that properly, they killed him, The man is dead because of the action of the police.

Just because the other mistakes were made, doesn't mean the police had to kill him, jeesh, that

is so easy to understand.

My daughters and I could have dealt with this man without killing him, the police couldn't?

Then to blame the mistakes of others for the death of this man is ludicrous.

Just as JLM explained, i'm sure they were dealt severely with, because of their stupidity and

inability to do anything positive, but they didn't kill him, the police did.

It doesn't matter that the police shouldn't have had to be called in,'THEY WERE CALLED IN', then

they killed him, do you think they pointed their fingers at others saying "they caused us to kill him",

funny.

Yep, you've explained it succinctly but one other important fact I might add- he was dead within 25 seconds of the cops arriving. To me that speaks volumes.

Can guilt of the individual be diminished by including others in the guilt?

What if they had tackled Dziekansk, wrestled him to the ground and he had a heart attack and died. Would that warrant manslaughter charges or would they have been responsible for his death..

Depends on the circumstances, these Yahoos didn't even give him the time to settle down.

Hadn't he already gone through Customs? Once past security, he's pretty much on his own. What bureaucrat does any more than what the Union rule book says is his job? Entertaining company is someone else's baby.

You just outlined how this man got killed with a single post.

While a murder charge probably wouldn't stick, these guys don't have a leg to stand on as far as being responsible. They lied right from the get go and it was just sheer luck they were found out because a spectator had the presence of mind to record the incident on his digital camera. I doesn't take a rocket scientist to see through the flimsy excuse they were threatened with a stapler. The truth of the matter is they really didn't care whether the guy lived or died. I think 10 years in prison is what they deserve and five extra for Mr. Robinson as he was in charge.
