NY Times’ Charles Blow: ‘Election Is Very Close To Being Stolen Before The Votes Are Actually Cast’

New York Times opinion columnist Charles M. Blow appeared on MSNBC with Martin Bashir on Tuesday where he condemned Republican state legislators’ efforts to pass voter identification laws. He said that many of those laws amount to a poll tax and that “this election is very close to being stolen before the votes are actually cast.”

Blow and Bashir offered praise for the cynicism of the Republican party’s strategy of targeting voters rather than trying to expand voter rolls and appealing to the majority of the American people.
Blow said that Republicans are passing as many laws as they can in states where their party controls the legislature to “restrict people’s access to the ballot.”
Bashir played a clip of a Pennsylvania Republican state assemblyman who recently said that he was proud of his state’s passage of “voter ID, which is going to allow Gov. Romney to win the state of Pennsylvania.”

According to the Bamster and his ass-lickers it is racist to ask for photo ID to vote.

It also allows illegal aliens to vote. The only requirement to register is to fill out a postcard, and BINGO, you are registered.

LOTS of illegals do vote, even though they are legally prohibited from doing so.

Yup, which is why Obama signed the Royal Decree essentially giving amnesty to so many illegals. Ignoring the constitution is OK when your illegal act is "the right thing to do". Obama should know, he was a constitutional lawyer. Kenyan constitution. :)

I have to show ID when I vote here, I don't see what the uproar is all about in the US.

Not here! Show up and vote DD! All you need to do is know a name on the voter roles in a particular polling station (voter station) and show up and vote. No ID necessary.

Requiring or asking for an ID to vote in the US is.... wait for it... RACISM! Yes indeed... it's racist.

Any Canadian male in this forum could come down here in November and I could give you my name and you could walk in and vote for me. No questions asked.

That's kinda bizarre. Is it the same at both county, state and federal?

Town, County, State and National Elections.

You could vote for my town School Committee and the President of the US as long as you have a name and the right voter station.

I walk in, give them my name, they find it and cross it off, give me a ballot... I vote... I put my ballot in the box... then I give them my name after that.

No ID... nothing.

Here are the election act rules here:

"The Elections Act gives voters three ways to prove their identification in order to cast a ballot: provide a government photo ID; provide two pieces of approved ID, at least one of which must state their address (but neither of which must contain a photo); or have another voter registered in the same district vouch for them."

That would be OUTRIGHT and NAKED RACISM down here.

I never knew Canada was such a racist nation. ;)

(I'm kidding of course)
