WOW!

I've been getting thumbs down from the lefties for failing to drop to my knees before a portrait of His Holiness, Mr Guevara.

Here I thought I was being even-handed, considering him to be human, neither monster nor hero, simply deluded.

A devout and sincere High Priest of the religious cult of Marxism.

An admirer of the Chinese Revolution, that murdered at least 50 million people.

Might I suggest you dummies read up on the guy??

I suggest Che Guevara: A Revolutionary Life by Jon Lee Anderson.

It has many pages and long words, so you may need to focus and buy a dictionary.

You also might want to read the Che diaries....look for the older version, which is a translation without fawning comment by his admirers.

I read the latter when I was 17. The former last year.

It would be REALLY nice if you knew who you were so in awe of....lol

BTW, I don't get all bent out of shape over reddies, please feel free. But in this case, it was just silly!!! lol

Look out, us fellow travelers are everywhere...and nowhere.;)

I'm not crazy about communism as it was twisted by Lenin and others, in the words of Rosa Luxemberg the Bolshevik cure was worse than the illness it was supposed to cure.

Che should have done better than he did and not fall to the level of some of the brutal dictators that he and others fought against.

Toronto school board pulls controversial Che Guevara lesson plan

A page dedicated to the teaching of Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara as a hero of Latin American literacy has been taken down by the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) after complaints.

Guevara, an infamous revolutionary figure who helped institute regime change in Cuba along with Fidel Castro, was being used as part of a resource to teach young Toronto students about the importance of literacy – though making no mention of his alleged crimes.

Che executed one guy by shooting the victim in the head.....then he leaned over and inserted his fingers into the wound canal......checking out the respective damage done by the bullet.

A little cold.............

Batista's thugs abducted, tortured and executed at least 20,000 Cubans during his last days inpower. Most of them knew little to nothing about the revolutionaries. A few were only guilty of sharing their food with the revolutionaries and providing intel.

When the revolutionaries finally got the chance to hold those responsible accountable for their actions, they were equally severe...War is hell.... Also Che knew full what he could expect if captured:

Che Guevara then told his executioner, "I know you've come to kill me. Shoot, coward! You are only going to kill a man!"[194] Terán hesitated, then opened fire with his semiautomatic rifle, hitting Guevara in the arms and legs. Guevara writhed on the ground, apparently biting one of his wrists to avoid crying out. Terán then fired several times again, wounding him fatally in the chest at 1:10 pm according to Rodríguez.[194] In all, Guevara was shot nine times. This included five times in the legs, once in the right shoulder and arm, once in the chest, and finally in the throat... After his execution, Guevara's body was lashed to the landing skids of a helicopter and flown to nearby Vallegrande, where photographs were taken of him lying on a concrete slab in the laundry room of the Nuestra Señora de Malta.[196] Several witnesses were called to confirm that it was Guevara, key amongst them British journalist Richard Gott, the only witness to have met Guevara when he was alive.

Put on public show as hundreds of local residents filed past the body, Guevara's corpse was considered by many to represent a "Christ-like" visage, with some even surreptitiously clipping locks of his hair as divine relics.[197] Such comparisons were further extended when English art critic John Berger, two weeks later upon seeing the post-mortem photographs, observed that they resembled two famous paintings: Rembrandt's The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp and Andrea Mantegna's Lamentation over the Dead Christ.[198] There were also four correspondents present when Guevara's body arrived in Vallegrande, including Bjorn Kumm of the Swedish Aftonbladet, who described the scene in an November 11, 1967 exclusive for The New Republic.[199]

A declassified memorandum dated October 11, 1967 to United States President Lyndon B. Johnson from his National Security Advisor Walt Whitman Rostow, called the decision to kill Guevara "stupid" but "understandable from a Bolivian standpoint".[200] After the execution Rodríguez took several of Guevara's personal items—including a Rolex GMT Master wristwatch[201] that he continued to wear many years later—often showing them to reporters during the ensuing years.Today some of these belongings, including his flashlight, are on display at the CIA.[202] After a military doctor amputated his hands, Bolivian army officers transferred Guevara's body to an undisclosed location and refused to reveal whether his remains had been buried or cremated. The hands were preserved in formaldehyde to be sent to Buenos Aires for fingerprint identification. (His fingerprints were on file with the Argentine police.) They were later sent to Cuba.

Nobody is arguing that revolt against Batista was not only honourably, but necessary.

What is NOT honourable is simply being a follower of the cult of Marxism, and willing to kill wholeheartedly simply to support that cult.

What is NOT honourable is seeking to spread bloody revolution throughout the world, whether the people desire it or not.

What is NOT honourable is supporting the worst mass murderers ever to exist on the face of the earth (the Red Chinese) simply because the ideology is "pure".

What is NOT honourable is fat-head, idiot, middle-class lefty "useful idiots" that are entrusted with the education of our children promoting as hero a man that would dance a jig at the fall of western civilization, and then shoot the piper for questionable ideologal influences. (What is hilarious is Che would have hated these bourgeouis teachers with a red-hot passion)

The decision to kill Che and hide his body was the wise choice, in fact it was the ONLY option.

No doubt Colpy and Che have ideological differences. If Che was fighting for capitalism, Colpy would probably not have problems with his actions. I'm against killing people in general.
