Not to mention sneaky little paragraphs like the one that removes oversight of CSIS. Ever hear of the KGB or the Stasi?

Cabbagefarts posts indicate that he would fit the bill to a 'T'."WANTED if you excell in stupidy, and you like doing stupid things,we got a job for you.....POLITICIAN"![]()
Yes, and neither exists anymore, as they once did.
Comparing the elimination of the position of Inspector General of CSIS to either, is absurd, if not outright idiotic.
Making the ridiculous claim that oversight is being removed, and inferring that there will be no more oversight, is appropriate for a thread entitled "Is there anything fricken stupider". Because, no, there isn't anything more 'stupider' than that.
The position of Inspector General of CSIS who reported to the Minister in charge, has been replaced by the SIRC. Which will report to Parliament.
Hmmm, report to one person? Or report to Parliament? I wonder which will pose less risk?

Do you like the taste of shoe leather? Or do you insert your bare feet into your mouth before posting anything?
I won't bother to argue with you but will just provide something for you to read by someone who knows about CSIS; about its method of reporting and who reports to whom.
You would not have to be constantly put down in this way if you would post civil rsponses.
Budget bill undermines oversight of CSIS | iPolitics
The new bill will also cut funding for health programs and retirement security. We will work longer, pay more when we are sick and get less EI...
All these services we take for granted have been cut, diluted and rendered ineffective. Canadians are about to find out what deregulation does and it won't be pretty. These changes are long term and irreversible. We are returning back to the times when mills and chemical factories had no limits to how badly they can pollute the environment... and we still haven't cleaned up all the damage from the past.
zUsually the sins of this government are lost in time because of the speedy replacement with other sins and the fatigue of the media in coverage.
I think that this one will not die away since the effects are going to be felt throughout the economy and society in general until future governments reverse the damages.
At the next election, there will still be more unemployed who have lost their EI or are more limited and on welfare. There will still be gradually ageing workers eho wface the prospect of pensions curtailed and delayed.
There will still be workers with reduced wages because of the effects of the new rules for foreign workers. There will still be projets going forwards without proper environmental assessment. There will still be problems with the loss of protection for food safety; of oversight for CSIS and other institutions.
There will still be increasing deregulation and there will still be a shrinking economy because of the anti-jobs `Jobs`Budget.
And a dozen more that will be election issues.
There will still be a finance Minister who claims that Parliament is wasting time and money in debating the whims of his boss and his corrupt part in facilitating them.
This will not die but it will be the death of these `Conservatives`unless the NDP and the Liberals prove to be entirely clueless.
You might be unhappy when a new dump, factory or mine locates itself just upstream or upwind from where you live. The new stream lined environmental impact assessments no longer take into account the affect on drinking water or air quality. A large corporation can crap in your backyard and you will have little say about it or means to complain. If you do, the minister responsible can overrule your complaints and bring the hearings to a swift end and approve the project regardless of the environmental consequences. Get ready to see Canada trashed.

Have you ever looked reality in the face? Or just parrot what you read in Tyee Snooze?
So you freeloaders might have to work a day or three before they get the rest of the year paid holiday. Must be tough being you.
Typical of leftards with no clue. One makes an asinine statement and the rest parrot it as "Fact".
The oft used copout of the big Teddy. Did you bother looking at who wrote the "op-ed piece? And his expertise that is as high as anyone in Canada.

It s tempting but that would mean changing a lifelong habit of listening to people no matter how uninformed. Even the greatest fool might have some insight or experience that is worth hearing.I recommend you put CB on your ignore list. His posts are trolling to provoke a response. His intent is to drag you into the mud. Instead try to focus on posts that are worthy of reading and a response.

It is just a pity that his hide is so thick.
Yep, even researched his bio.The oft used copout of the big Teddy. Did you bother looking at who wrote the "op-ed piece?
As high as many scientists who you claim are wrong about AGW.And his expertise that is as high as anyone in Canada.
Of course, I love feedin ideological trolls like you, your own shoe leather. It must be shoe leather you like.
Ahhh, the cowards way out when you don't like having your hatred of Jews pointed out.I recommend you put CB on your ignore list.
Like blindly calling anyone that believe the Jews are the root of all evil, supporters of crimes against humanity? His posts are trolling to provoke a response.
Like shallow and superficial attempts at insulting weight, or insinuating child molestation, or members having STD's... That kind of mud? LOL!His intent is to drag you into the mud.
That exclude the bulk of yours and Cabbagefarts posts.Instead try to focus on posts that are worthy of reading and a response.
The two of you are a perfect match. It s tempting but that would mean changing a lifelong habit of listening to people no matter how uninformed. Even the greatest fool might have some insight or experience that is worth hearing.

Hey Nif, do you get treated like I treat EAO and Cabbagefarts, when you and I disagree?Long before there was an ignore button, people simply didn't respond. Listening to someone is nowhere near the same as replying to someone.
People mostly come here for entertainment. Before you post you can always ask yourself if the thread is still entertaining for you. If you expect people to take you seriously around here, you're going to have a bad time.
Besides You, EAO.I wonder whether there is another poster who posts so much and says nothing, Teddy.
And yet, I have managed to show the errors and absurdity in your claims, on many occasions. You really do not have the intelligence for this.
A sentiment parroted by most of the ideologues here. Geeze, you can even be original in your attempted insults. You are just an offensive jerk.
Hey Nif, do you get treated like I treat EAO and Cabbagefarts, when you and I disagree?
I only ask because, I'm hoping the two of them might actually learn something from your answer. Although I highly doubt they will.
Generally, until they beg for mocking. As I recall you treat everyone the same way when you disagree with them.
I don't take the internet or my presence on it seriously. But the shear entertainment value of watching ideologues squirm, bluster and congregate to cry, is worth the cost of a high speed cable internet connection. In general I don't take myself seriously enough to extend it so far, however.
