There is much too much noise in the social debate about climate change, you can't hear the honest scientists for the lunatics. It seems to be settling down though. Not sure what happened.

its like that for everything in the environment,You wouldnt believe how many people make their living off the paranoia they have caused concerning the environment.Many times I have flown north with so called researchers that make their living off government grants,I never saw one actually leave the last village that had a hotel so they must be doing their research on the internet.

That right there is the problem in a nutshell. And not just regarding the environment. Any cause, any issue once it attracts enough attention becomes a viable money making machine. Big business, big charity. Which is why everything has to be viewed with a skeptical eye. To do otherwise, in my opinion, is just naive.

Exactly,I remember when the Innuit first got internet,the drowning polar bears were a big issue and they pushed it on the net and the govt. responded by cutting their quotas for polar bears,they then ran a huge civil disobediance campaign in all the papers urgeing peeps to say it was self defense when ever they shot a polar bear.Kind of ironic how that came back to bite them in the ass!

That human activity contributes to climate change is incontravertible. As a parent, I wish to see my children and grandchildren live on a hospitable planet. To realize that end requires responsible action by both industry and government as well as the individual. Frankly, because of greed and perceived self interest, I see too little responsible action.

Do you recycle, do you use solar or Geo-thermal to heat your home or alternate power.. I am seriously interested in knowing how far one goes to honor his or her Eco-convictions.
