Ammonium perchlorate (solid rocket fuel) doesn't come from petroleum. Neither do LOX, LOH, N2O4, or N2H4.

I told you before, climate science is the variety of fields of sciences that are impacted by climate.
Like I suggested before, unless you can and will learn about something, avoid expressing your dimwitted and ignorant opinions about them.

I wasn't thinking so much of the rockets themselves but all the energy needed to manufacture, transport and erect their sardine cans. Even power for their computers. Most of that uses fossil fuel. Probably so does the manufacture of Ammonium Perchlorate.

If you think, petros, hat water is the most destructive force on the Planet, why do you support man's behaviour that will , eventually, lead to an 80 metre rise in sea levels and the end of life as we know it. That is a few thousand years away, probably. The West Antarctic Ice sheet has to melt for that (It is starting). But it will be game over long before that.

25 metres within a few centuries.

Change of that order took millions of years in the distant past. This time it will occur in a period that will still remember our part in the cause.

Eventually, in a few thousand years... About 10,000 - 12,000 years back,
where Petros (& myself) are sitting, was under something like a mile of
ice.

A 25 metre rise in sea levels within a few centuries...I'm doubting anyone
here on the Forum (but I could be wrong) is going to see that, whether it
happens or not. Through the ages many-many have preached "The End
is Near!" & tossed out their prophesies and dates. None, to the best of my
knowledge, has been correct so far, as we're still here.

Some change has taken millions of years, & some much shorter time
frames. Millions of years ago where I sit was the bottom of an inland
sea, but thousands of years ago it was under a thick and vast ice sheet.

Probably, your glass is half empty, but mine is half full.

And you never will....
And you'd never be able to tell if I did or not. Either way, you haven't proven dickall. Too friggin lazy and ignorant to even post a link. That makes you just a stunned, useless, and hopeless bag of hot air.

Shut of the petroleum and the world would go back to the dark ages within 2 days.Peeps love to hate big oil,but they cant live without it.
That's like saying eliminate fire and we'd have the same results. That does not mean that fire is necessarily good. DUH

Apparently you can't handle metaphors either.

You think. But then, you don't think well either. You have no clue what sort of lifestyle we have here, yet you spew uninformed opinions like that like shyte through a goose. :) There's another metaphor for you. :D
