Ohhh **** no! AM 640 is pure tripe. The kooky guy on Saturday after hockey is interesting to say the least. I'll give them that much.

Sounds like he actually stepped down last year, but this is an interesting
opportunity to publicly announce it.

Me thinks that Suzuki has run out of hole cards.. Maybe he decided to let go of the expensive marketing firm that helped keep him in the public eye.

I suppose that we see the results from trying to do it yourself.

RIP Davie.. Time to park the 12 cyl diesel bus and maybe consider spending more time fishing on the waters off of Quadra Island

I haven't listened to commercial talk radio since that OJ guy offed some people.
At least in the Toronto area it changed journalists into FOX style talking heads. I remember a husband and wife team that were actually rather good but after OJ the turned into media *****s. Really sad. The stared out thing is the proper word for HOES. lol.

David Suzuki says he’s stepping down from the board of the David Suzuki Foundation so he will be able to say what he pleases without fear of political backlash.

The celebrity scientist posted a letter on his foundation website declaring:

I have reached a point in my life where I would like to consider myself an elder. I want to speak freely without fear that my words will be deemed too political, and harm the organization of which I am so proud. I am keenly aware that some governments, industries and special interest groups are working hard to silence us. They use threats to the Foundation’s charitable status in attempts to mute its powerful voice on issues that matter deeply to you and many other Canadians.

Forgive me if I fail the grasp the subtleties of this. By not sitting on the board of the David Suzuki Foundation, David Suzuki hopes to protect it from any backlash against David Suzuki?

Hostile “governments, industries and special interest groups” hot on the trail of David Suzuki will no longer twig to the fact that the David Suzuki Foundation is directly linked to David Suzuki? And the foundation will somehow be cleansed of its Suzukiness by this action, even though the entire foundation appears to be one big testament to the personality, vision, goals and cult of David Suzuki?
His photo is on virtually every page of the web site. His guiding presence is everywhere. His blog and writings are heavily promoted. His life is extolled at length. The very essence of the David Suzuki Foundation is the fact that it’s the cherished offspring of David Suzuki.
But he won’t be on the board any more. Oh, well that changes everything.

The David Suzuki Foundation. Wait a minute, doesn't that have something to do with David Suzuki? | Full Comment | National Post

Careful Loc, you wouldn't want to end up in jail...

Oh wait!

Dave just wants that, thankfully he can't legislate it.

For an educated guy he seems to forget one vital thing.

The foundation he is trying to protect from David Suzuki's Partisan Political Sniping is called: The David Suzuki Foundation.
