You are only looking at the theft portion of the B&E.

But that's the pivotal moment of the story, when the reader is saying "Just eat the frigging porridge already. The bears are on their way back."

I mean, after that she takes a nap!?! Did you read the thread I posted about the guy who made a get-a-way into the back of a police car?

It all went downhill after the porridge.

Yeah, the dumb kid should've scooped it all and scooted back home, then ate some and saved the rest for later.

To quote Kansas, "If I claim to be a wise man, it surely means that I don't know".

A wise man would know there's no point arguing this sh it, really. We're all noobs in the wisdom department, no matter our stances in this debate, argument, conversation, whatever you wish to call it.

Very true. Also doesn't mean that it must not. For something to be unknowable is, by definition, to be inconclusive.

Understood, I won't argue that. You believe or don't believe what is right for you. That's great.

Those are all really negative ways of looking at it. It is not possible that some may not have simply acquired enough information to reach a definitive conclusion?

And, again, that's great for you that your way of life is you have to make a decision. If you didn't you wouldn't be true to yourself. I'd never advocate anyone not to be true to themselves. But the assumption that I read is that if someone has not made a decision, then they are not thinking about any of it, they are ignoring the situation. They "don't care", "don't think about it", etc. That takes it beyond an opinion and into a judgement of the hearts and minds of other people.

Is it not better to actually take the time to ponder the more significant questions and mysteries in life? Especially if one needs the time to do so. If you don't, great, good for you. But if one does, that make them deserving of contempt?

of course not, but don't just do that all of your life, that tells me you can't think that hard, can't
or won't make a decision on your own behalf, and don't want to, and that is fine, but I still call
that person a fence sitter, and if he/she is happy sitting on the fence, be my guest, take my spot,
I jumped off many many years ago, made a decision that fit my life, and moved on.

many people who doubt any gods, will never admit it to anyone, they don't want the hassle, don't want
anyone to think badly about them. many people like that, it just happens that I think for myself,
and if others don't want to like me because of it, I can live with that, but I would never do that
to those of my friends who are believers, they are still good people, I won't think badly about them,
and I will never pressure them to think like I do, it is a personal choice.

Really - Facts are facts - You have used derogatory terms when referring to people that have a religious belief. Do you tell your friends that in a friendly discussion over tea and crumpets.

no, I don't talk a bout religion or no religion anywhere other than here, the subject never comes up, we
have life to live, and other much more interesting things to talk about.
I don't even think about it, till I come here and read posts.

So you have never told your friends that have religious beliefs that they are shall we say a bunch of clowns. Would that be correct?
