To put that another way ....1/2 as many jobs.

No, that would be wrong. There's more job postings in Ontario, about 6.5 times more jobs posted than in Saskatchewan, but half as many per capita. There's something about equalization threads that always bring out the math tards.

If we separated, you useless easterners would starve and freeze to death!! Ummmm, on second thought.........hmmmm an idea ............!!

Good.

Now that we have put our complete faith in moving forward with this country entirely in economic terms, I expect you will start shilling for the Bloc to get Quebec to separate so they don't have to take your stinking money.

This is the stupidity of living in an age where we guide our decisions completely on the basis of the economy.

Durrpy, "you" doesn't apply to me and Ontario. Your province has to pay more money than your province receives because there's a formula that the government uses to redistribute taxed money. I've explained the math to you before. Are you that forgetful, or did you not learn anything yet aboout how equalization actually is calculated?
Ohhhhh, the old formula explaination again..eh !!!
A Formula that favors the useless easterners, no doubt !!!

Why do we need a Formula at all,,,,have you ever thought you easterners should be able to pull up your socks and look after yourselves??? Oh, of course not,,,let's go back to the eastern Constitution and demand the Western provinces look after the easterners!!!! So useless !!!

This is the stupidity of living in an age where we guide our decisions completely on the basis of the economy.
And how can one tell from your Post that your an easterner and a loser ?

SK is the same size and population as ON?

Note the bold, durrr.

PEI = Canada's version of Greece
I couldn't care less what you think of PEI...this isn't my province, my family moved around from NWT, to Sask, to NS, to BC, to go where the work is. You're barking up the wrong tree if you think I feel any attachment to any geographic location. I cam to PEI, for a job, a career, and it likely won't be my last stop.

The economy is the only proper way to guide decisions. As any fiscally responsible person would know.

Yes, this is why Lisa Raitt's decision to "honour the economy" and "think about Canadians" led to the weekend of hell last week. Way to steer that ship right into Westjet's hands, lol

Well, Harper changed it last, I guess he was born in the East. Surprised you mathtards haven't lynched him for it yet.

Yes, the only way there could be no equalization payments is if each province had precisely the same revenue generation to fiscal capacity ratio. Considering that natural resources are one consideration, and they are not equally distributed across the federation, that seem unlikely to happen, ever....but this concept must be too difficult for you to comprehend.

Durrr.

It's a law? You have to change the law to remove it. Are you that ignorant?

Sorry. For years and years, equalization payments flowed from Ontario to the west and this was ok. Now when they flow the other way, we must change? Screw that. Let the money pour in! Can we have more?
