Looks like Newt is trying to repeal some of the property ownership freedoms and limited liability that was introduced to help buyers avoid severe punishments for defaulting on their payments.

Not a good sign for proponents of the free market.

Nothing left on the Republican ticket. No matter who gets the nomination Obama is in for a second term.

If that happens and your economy picks up, he may yet have a chance to institute the change he so often spoke of in his run up to the Presidency.

What change?

At any rate... an Obama win would IMO assure a GOP sweep of Congress in in his next mid-term elections. Then all he'll be able to do is "QUACK".

The major word is if,President Obama has had many chances to institute a change and has always backed off getting people angry in the process. This election will probably be a massacre for the democrats even if Obama wins. They just might lose their majority in the Senate as well as losing more seats in the House. The next 4 years will be interesting.

Newt is a modern day neanderthal, it's fascinating to witness, also scary that somehow he's allowed to run for leader of a country and possible even win,.. what the hell does that say about the intelligence for that country?

Open to suggestions, know anyone else better than the final four that want the job. :-( Unless someone comes out of nowhere like Obama did, President Obama is a shoe in.

It doesn't show much intelligence for someone who thinks Newt should not be "allowed" to run for office.

Outside of you not liking him or his policies, on what basis would you be able to forcibly deny him for running for office?

Oh, so you want to curtail his rights! That's scarier and so are you.

Of course he does. That is exactly what he wants. I bet he thinks he thinks trampling on the rights of others because he simply disagrees with them is perfectly fine.

Not if he runs on his record.

He can run on whatever he wants.

If you honestly believe that Newt friggin Gingrich, Santorum or Ron Paul have a chance, you're sorely mistaken. The vote for the Republican head is competitive because Republicans lost their identity when they got spanked last time around. But anyone of those competing with Obama will fail because they're still pandering to a specific segment of the conservative market.

Their safest bet is the fabian, fiscal conservative lead coupled with the evangelist vice president to keep the stupid voters.

If anyone other than Romney goes up against Obama, they are gonna get run over, regardless of what issues are at play.

.

The GOP was spanked the last time around? Have you been keeping up with current elections? The last time around the GOP swept the Democrats from the House of Representatives and darn near took the Senate too.
