I AM NOT MOVING - Short Film - Occupy Wall Street - YouTube

Because Gadaffi suppressed freedom of speech and the right to assemble?
Wait a second here. Lets watch what's going on here at home compared to over there.
Looks the same to me.

Sounds to me like Tripoli was a nice place to live befor we bombed the crap out of it....

Look to the mass graves - that is one example - Look to how he would have put down the civil war - mass murder - Do you live in a bubble?

Really? I am willing to bet that the warehouse they found full of murdered civilians weren't all that happy.

People cover their noses from the smell of burnt bodies in a warehouse on August 27, 2011 in
Tripoli, Libya. Up to 150 people were found dead, 53 bodies were burnt in a warehouse in the
last few days. The victims are believed to be Libyan civilians arrested by pro-Gaddafi loyalists
for interrogation. As the Libyan rebel forces were advancing, the pro-Gaddafi forces acted to cover
up the bodies of the people they were interrogating, they threw in grenades and then had
subsequently set fire to tyres inside of the warehouse to cover up the bodies, locals said.
Heavy fighting continues in the Libyan capital between Gaddafi's forces and the surging rebel
presence. (Photo by Daniel Berehulak/Getty Images)

Yeah seems like it was a real nice place and that Gaddafi, what a sweetheart.

Good question; SNCLavalin has made good money there for Canadians for quite a few years under Gaddafi, I can only assume they hope to do even better now that he's gone.

I hope you don't expect us to believe that all of a sudden, the West realized this and decided to act.

Nope, I think we should have bombed them decades ago. And yes I know we did, but obviously not enough.

And Angstroms comparison is retarded.

Well, when I read the OP I understood him to mean the suppression of free speech. I find it strange that people who profess to support free speech have berated anybody who they disagree with, in particular those who are involved with Occupy Wall Street (or any other place). They try to drown out dissent with loud name calling. The media have focused on the limp dicks that are there and ignored anybody who has anything intelligent to say. And many on here just follow their lead and crap on those who are trying to say something.

Personally, I don't care about the protests. They are aimed at the wrong target.

Oh please, spare me the BS.

I put out a challenge just the other day, for someone to show me a real Prima Facie case to arrest and charge Bush or Cheney. All I got was silly smug BS.

I don't try and drown out honest dissent. I disprove BS, try and inform or meet at common ground, and then when all else fails, play with morons like a cat plays with a mouse. Because there simply really isn't anything left to do.

Again BS. No one has posted anythiung resembling a reasoned argument regarding the Occupy wall St. movement.

Agreed. So why are you crying about people dumping on the meat heads aiming at the wrong target?

Northern Ontario,
The "foolish" (to keep it civil) thing about comparing the Libyan revolt to the wall street protest is that in Libya the protesters were being shot at while in New York they are being laughed at.
So saying that free speech is being infringed upon by laughter .....is ....hmm.....laughable:lol:
