We are going to have a carbon tax eventually anyway, and if someone is going to vote
for or against a government because of a carbon tax alone, does not make sense to me.
Governments come and go and in this case they remain because the opposition gave no
reason for anyone to change. The conservatives both in Canada and United States
seem to want to turn back the clock and return to their mythical simpler time that never
existed.
I think this could be the cresting of the conservative movement in this country. We are
facing some tough times and that means people with vision will be needed to lead the way
to find solutions. Vision is not the prime big chip for conservatives in to political game.
Usually when these situations develop, social issues are the prime objective and they tend
to leave the Tories in the dust, not always but all too often.

I don't vote based only on that Grumpy. I'm just watching to see Dalton give us his 3s a charm royal screwing.

Well I tend to disagree. We have a majority government in Ottawa and I haven't seen the clock turned back yet.

Again I disagree. The big bad Harris Monster everyone is fear-mongering about will be back with a new face after McGuinty puts Ontario so deep in the red that you'll think there's a bloodbath going on. This will be Dalton's last Hurrah and with Andrea Horwath at his side to start pushing expensive social programs you can guarantee that the people of Ontario will be pulling their wallets out. Unless of course if Dalton attempt to run his new minority like a majority.

I voted against McLiar because all he did in his previous two terms was put Ontario further and further into debt. I wonder how bad it's going to look after four more years of him. People keep voting him in, no matter what promises he breaks and the lies he makes. It just boggles the mind.

Ontario is in debt because the powers that be over the past decades deregulated the
industrial base and the jobs moved out, to Asia. There is no one left to pay the taxes
because the employment standards mainly wages has slipped and that means there
is no golden goose, a middle class that can afford to pay the bills.
BC is a Province that will see change, as well not because of debt but because we have
a government that has trouble being honest and they are long on image and short on
truth.
The Federal Government has gone back to the old days, all the debt reduction and
budget balancing is gone and the present conservatives have stacked up more debt
than almost anyone in Canadian history.

It was pretty hilarious listening to the conservative bought and paid for AM radio stations trying to spin this as a Liberal loss.. "You know Jim, I'm glad the Liberals lost, but I was hoping it would be by more seats!"

And all of a sudden the National Post cares about electoral reform. Ha! During the federal election, they were all like: "Sour grapes man!" But now that their endorsed party has no power they actually give a crap about democracy.
