I'm not sure how you got that impression, but recent polls indicate nearly twice as many Canadians support Palestinian Statehood compared to those who oppose it.

More Canadians support Palestinian statehood than supported Harper in the last election:
Harper goes to the UN: Canadian imperialism and Palestine | rabble.ca

The majority of the world supports Palestinian statehood, including a majority ofGermans, Brits and French, even though their governments oppose it.
Leading EU countries support Palestinian statehood bid in UN, poll says - Haaretz Daily Newspaper | Israel News

Its sad that the leaders of a few western countries including Canada support continued Palestinian injustice and oppression in opposition to the majority of people they supposedly claim to lead.

The majority of the world couldn't give a rat's arse if every Jew was baked in an oven, in fact, a large proportion of the world's population would very much like the idea.........and they control the UN. That includes, btw, the one billion Muslims on earth, who believe Jew-slaughter is willed by Allah as a prerequisite of the last days.

Praise Allen. Fleas be upon him.

Which is why Zionism is only good sense.

By the way.......40% of those that voted went for the Conservatives. Another 40% of the electorate were so happy with the government as it was that they didn't bother to vote............

Saying more people support Palestine than support the gov't is.........disingenuous at best.

I couldn't care less what the Euroweenies think.....

How can you even say stuff like this and expect to be taken seriously?

So if Palestine gets a U.N. seat, then we're off to bake jews?

Is this really what Baird's followers believe?

What oven? Easy Bake?

What is wrong with this scenario? Israel Honors 9 Egyptian spies

Officially honouring terrorists is a ****ed up thing to do. It ranks right up there with honouring the Red Army.

Colpy, if you want to have a rational discussion, can you at least make an earnest statement about what we're actually talking about and then back it up?

Posting a link and then an arbitrary, emotionally charged ad hominem doesn't really help much.

(Sigh)

Did you watch the vid???

The guy is a key member of Fatah.

He says the establishment of a Palestinian state on disputed territory, removing settlers, returning Israel to its 1967 borders, and tearing down the wall is NOT a prerequisite for peace......but the first step in a continuing war with Israel and the eventual elimination of the Jewish state.

He says it casually, admits EVERYONE knows this, only they are do not voice it in public.

Palestinian Statehood is NOT a move toward peace, it is a tactical move to leave the enemy (Israel) vulnerable to attack.

Admitted by "moderate" FATAH.......how much more so Islamo-looney HAMAS?????

And how stupid would the Israelis have to be to accept it???

They saw what happened when they abandoned Gaza in 2005.

Enough of an argument for you?

How so?

Tell me how Palestinian statehood will leave Israel more vulnerable to attack?

At least give me something to work with here.

How is insisting on continuing a 44 year old occupation a move towards peace?

It is the truth.

Not "we", but a good part of the world. Over one sixth of which is Muslim, and that population surrounds Israel......and their religious texts of the hadith celebrate Jew extermination.

The tiny, democratic, and rule of law state of Israel is condemned in UN proposed resolutions more than all other states combined.

Explain that to me..........

Don't move the goal posts plz. :)

This thread is about Palestine's right for U.N. statehood.

The tiny, democratic, and rule of law state of Israel is condemned in UN proposed resolutions more than all other states combined.

They have a vote and every nation in the world pitches their own. Unless they've all been hijacked by some islamic correspondent, I highly doubt your conspiracy theory checks out here.

So, again.. How does this move actually make Israel more vulnerable?

The wall goes. The buffer zone of 800,000 settlers goes. Israel shrinks (do you have any concept of how SMALL Israel is???)

MUCH less than one THIRD the size of NB.

Geography of Israel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geography_of_Israel
Israel stretches 424 kilometers (263 mi) from north to south, and its width ranges from 114 kilometers (71 mi) to, at its narrowest point, 15 kilometers (9.3 mi). ...

ANY shrinkage of controled territory leaves Israel vulnerable.....they are cornered.

How does the wall go?

Does the UN authorize some sort of Palestinian revolt or stand down of the Israeli military?

Where the hell are you dreaming this stuff up man?
