This piece of divisive garbage needs to be taken to the woodshed by the CBC and/or his party. He's race-baited before but now the ignorant implication he spewed is really fostering that new civil age in Washington.

Protip: Most lynchings were carried out by southern white democrats m'kay.

Rep. Andre Carson, a Democrat from Indiana who serves as the CBC’s chief vote counter, said at a CBC event in Miami that some in Congress would “love to see us as second-class citizens” and “some of them in Congress right now of this tea party movement would love to see you and me ... hanging on a tree.”

Sometimes I don't know which is worse; an outright racist spewing venom or those that throw down the proverbial race card to "tackle" every issue. With the first type at least they are right out front with it, you can confront it head on as it should be confronted. The second type well I can't help but feel that it completely demeans incidences of real racism. Like crying wolf all the time.

Liberal Democrats here in the US have always been the most racist and the most vocal about it. I know because I live among them here in Massachusetts.

This clip says it all...

RACIST Progressive Liberals call for Lynching - YouTube

Yep, definitely some racist comments. More than a few stupid ones too.

More than a couple stoned out of their heads as well.

And at around 1:21 or so, a really bang on Carol Channing impersonation! ;)

I would bet you that if you asked each and every one of the people in that clip if they were racist they would absolutely say that they are not. I would also bet that they would clam right up and think something wasn't right with the interviewer. Approach them as a fellow liberal (US type) and you'll get the real US Liberal out of them.

Oh she's my favorite. You have that type all over Cambridge Massachusetts.

I can absolutely believe that. I can also truly believe that they truly believe they are not racist. Some of the most vile garbage I've ever heard in my life has come from people completely oblivious to what they are actually saying. I don't know, it's like they have this weird reasoning behind what they are saying so they somehow think that makes it all logical. But it's the furthest thing from logical, it's specious reasoning at it's finest.

Oh she's my favorite. You have that type all over Cambridge Massachusetts.

Oh, your poor ears, lol.

US politics is a gong show. People seem to lose all perspective down there and act like complete loonies. Seemingly perfectly normal people come off sounding like cartoon characters of themselves when politics comes up. It's bazarre, almost like they watch so much TV that they think it is real life, or something.

Meh, like everything else, I think the loonies are just louder.

That is almost as dumb as saying all Muslims are terrorists.

Did you watch the clip?

It's bazarre, almost like they watch so much TV that they think it is real life, or something.

Those people are considered "perfectly normal"? You may be right, in their inner circles US Liberals are typically like that.

Like I said in another thread, my Liberal Democrat relative called me up after Obama won the election to rub it in knowing I supported McCain and after I said hello he blurted out...

"Aaaahh Haaaa... the n***** won!"

And he doesn't consider himself a racist.

Unbelievable!

I think your Liberal Democrat relative is delusional.

Unbelievable!

I think your Liberal Democrat relative is delusional.

I think he fits right in.

I've also told this story before. A Liberal radio host who actually has common sense told the story of the Liberal bastion of Cambridge Mass, home of Harvard Univ. These folks are so far left. At any rate, a group from Boston wanted to make a school for inner city kids right there in Harvard Square... the heart of Cambridge. The people of Cambridge flat out opposed it and the proposal was decisively crushed.

So the Talk Show Host laughed and said...

"All the Liberals love little black children until someone wanted to build a school for them in Harvard Square."

I listen with amazement as each side calls the other racists and ignorant while being racist
and ignorant themselves. Have these people no shame regardless of what side of the fence
they are on? What is even worse is a collection of multi cultural bigots, painting the picture
that collectively they are not bigots and racists. No I am not saying that all Americans are
racists and bigots, I am referring to those who engage in such debate using the lowest form of
common denominator.
Before we wave the flag, and proclaim we are superior to Americans, remember we engage in
our own racism and bigotry. Not a black and white bigotry, but we tend to single out the
Natives, Sihkes, and others as targets of our negative affections. The thing that bothers me the
most is when people proclaim we are racist and bigot free. We paint this picture of superiority
and collective amnesia.
First we must rid ourselves of our negative thoughts, only then can we collectively begin to deal
with the problem of racism and bigotry. The Tea Party may be a lot of things, including being
nuts, they can be a collection of conspiracy freaks, and politically unstable, but racists in a
collective sense? No. Personally its because they have not advanced to that level yet, give them
time (and yes that is said in jest)
Before we can deal with the problems of racism we first must deal with ourselves.

All part of the NIMBY crowd, for sure.

When I was at college a group of us were sitting around in the cafeteria talking and somehow or other the topic evolved into racist attitudes. (It was a specialized sort of accelerated program so we all moved through each class pretty much as a group and got to know each other pretty well.) There was this one woman who, on the very first day of classes made sure to become super best friends with all the immigrant students, and her contribution to our little conversation was that we "could all tell that she wasn't racist, because of all her little Asian friends".

Like her own personal badge of authenticity or something.

I was dumbfounded. I mean, how frickin' condesending can you be?

And when Latinos were battling Whole Foods Supermarket from moving into their neighborhood all the college age liberals brushed the Latino Community aside and got in front of the cameras and said...

"Where are here to fight for people who are unable to fight for themselves. We are their voice."

How condesending is that! Boy you should of heard the Latino Community Leader give the little rich liberals a piece of his mind.

First we must rid ourselves of our negative thoughts, only then can we collectively begin to deal
with the problem of racism and bigotry.

Very good well said... Let us continue shall we?

The Tea Party may be a lot of things, including being
nuts, they can be a collection of conspiracy freaks, and politically unstable, but racists in a
collective sense? No.

Wait...didn't you just say "we must rid ourselves of negative thoughts"?

Personally its because they have not advanced to that level yet, give them
time (and yes that is said in jest)

Which part?

Before we can deal with the problems of racism we first must deal with ourselves.

Good luck.

Tea Party Patriots Mission Statement and Core Values

Perhaps there are some ignorant people that don't know (or don't care to know) just what The Tea Party stands for. Really, I can't fathom why a freedom-loving taxpayer wouldn't agree with these few principles. Maybe it's just kooky-talk. :)

Anywho:

Mission Statement
The impetuses for the Tea Party movement are excessive government spending and taxation. Our mission is to attract, educate, organize, and mobilize our fellow citizens to secure public policy consistent with our three core values of Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets.

Core Values

• Fiscal Responsibility
Constitutionally Limited Government
• Free Markets
