The show host is a comedian and the show itself is satirical comedy. This was, after all, the Opie and Anthony Show
The problem with Ventura is the same problem you get with opininated people who like to shout others down and I speak of course of the extreme types in far right and left wing media. When Norton questions some of the statements Ventura made his fall back was, "You're a great American, who did you serve with." This will no doubt stir up a few comments here, but I have always believed that we all hold a right to speak. Even those I vehemently disagree with and while some of the Israel stuff gets tiring or the JBee cut and paste machine is on the edge of pathetic, we still live in a free country.
Ventura throws out the who did you serve with.
Then he tries the intimidation tactic.
Jim Norton, god love him said, "What are you gonna do beat me up?'
That looked good on Ventura, who is either a complete wack job moron or a very shrewd self promoter.
I haven't seen any proof that it was. This unlike Gulf of Tonkin where the smoking gun clearly pointed to the government. If someone can produce a similar smoking gun, then I'll believe it was an inside job.

The Mayans of today (indigenous peoples of southeastern Mexico and parts of Central America, such as Guatemala) say that the 2012 doomsday theory is nothing but a western propagated myth which is what I was saying originally.
I don't know if Ventura is just looking to make some money. The guy doesn't even live in the USA, he's down in bum**** Mexico away from most of the luxuries he could have in the U.S .. He's just generally interested in these conspiracy theories and likes asking questions and getting into discussions.

Ventura is hilarious, and his show often does contain the occasional fact, but as many have said, to make it really outrageous it has to be manipulated. I saw one episode where he was investigating some kind of compound that apparently had people in it, and he used a tactic that he resorts to WAY too often, that is demanding answers he has no right to receive, then stating the lack of answers as proof of whatever wacky thing he is asserting.
The "west of the rockies" show being discussed earlier is called "Coast to Coast" and is available on my local talk radio station and is also streamed online on their website on weeknights, just look for 610 CKTB. I starts at 10 PM EST I believe, but that is just a rerun of the second half of the previous nights show. The "current" episode starts at midnight EST. The show is good background for late-night internet goofery- as someone(Eaglesmack I think maybe) stated, George Nori (sp?) really does work his guests and callers real well, especially the alien/crypto sighting-types- he knows how to whip things right up, but he does so in a non-patronizing way that makes it almost funny most of the time.
