To those of us who bother to study about such things, yes. It is also known that they're mythical, they don't exist.

Dexter, I cannot say they are mythical when I myself saw them although it is only very few times, as did many other people and truthful friends see and hear them.

We only see a sliver of what makes up light.
We sure are excellent conjurers of the amazing and sometimes deadly energies and powers of the realms we cannot see aren't we?
We can get them to do our bidding for both good and evil.

Excellent reply, other than the last sentence of subjecting them, which is not good: because they are intelligent beings and have senses and emotions just like people: the difference is that their bodies are created from gases. And I know there is a large number of gases.

So this was the reason why I chose the word "genie" because people in the West are familiar with this word more than the word "Jinn"; right? They know the genie of Aladdin, which is an imaginary story.
