Not as much as I'd like. What am I sidestepping though?

The straw man I so carefully set up...........the conflict between DePape's reputation as "hero" for speaking out, and Gibbons several years in jail for speaking out........

The hypocrisy of the left in supporting both positions.

Yup. She knew the consequences, and accepted them. I don't see where the problem is here.

Of COURSE you don't......

You never heard of free speech.

Let me make this clear for you:

RIGHTS DO NOT EXIST AT THE PLEASURE OF GOVERNMENT.

If there is a right to free speech, than silent respectful free speech is allowed on the public street. If not, there is no right.

DePape, as inappropriate as her self-centered little outburst was, is not in jail.

Nor has ANYONE suggested she should be.

So, how can you defend DePape, but support the imprisonment of this woman? Who, BTW, made a much more appropriate protest in a much more appropriate place.

There's no accountability and anyone can just make up whatever crap they want.
The irony in that statement is palpable.

Your guy got publicly slammed - beat up by a little girl.
He did?

I can see why you'd employ a double standard.

You too, doesn't surprise me in the least.

Really? You have to question why?
Geezus you statist jack-booters pretending concern for the rights the people make me crazy.
They just make me LOL.

Why don't you just point out for us dumb folk where your conflict is in YOUR strawman argument?

trying to reason with the Depape supporters is much like trying to reason with a 5 year old. They have a bad case of ADD, and the serious most valuable lessons are lost.

That's obvious
I know.

Funny how none of the righteous right have answered the question about how much gloating among the Harper bunch there would be had DePape's little sign read "Stop Layton"....
That's not a question.

And she'd be equally in the wrong.

Something you should note, although I'm sure it would simply interfere with dismissing certain members opinions, is that people like Colpy and myself, have defended Iggy, Layton, Bryant, and so on. When they were unfairly accused.

Some of us are just far more objective then others.

Perhaps you may not want to note that I have corrected the occasional errant post against Harper - even though I detest the man. Objective? Not really. I don't like outright lies....
