Burrows got the first goal and Bieksa put the icing on the cake. When I think back over the first three rounds, Burrows sticks out in my mind as much of a hero as anyone. For pure strength he'd be right up there, I think.

Kesler was making solid hits all night long, so he showed a strong game tonight as well.

You betcha!

Sarah Palin's got nothing on you, Mowich.:)

I've got a little story for you all.

I have a beautiful little stone with the word 'Believe' printed on it. When I really want to see something good happen for someone, I hold it tightly in my hand. Last game, that little stone never left my hand. This game, I had put it in my pocket and forgot it was there. When the game went to double OT, I reached into my pocket for a kleenex and there was my stone. I pulled it out and never let go until Bieksa scored that goal...........now I am not superstitious but this little rock has come through for me time and again and tonight............ what can I say...........we have the conference final cup don't we. LOL!

Hey, JLM........tonight man.........every single member of that team who skated and played is a hero and a champion in my eyes. But, Ryan ....that guy came back after the groin thing and he played his frickin' heart out. But I am not going to poop in your soup and Burrows rocked mightily. But then we forget who got the puck to those guys.

So, let's just agree that this team is a TEAM and all of them helped us to the win, oh and lets not forget AV........... credit man, credit.

That little stone got the Riders to the Cup last year but I misplaced it a few days before the game and was so fraught with worry I made one of my own..........my sis in Regina knows the story of the stone.........and when she heard what happened .........all she could say was.... YOU BETTER FIND THAT DAMN ROCK FOR NEXT YEAR! (caps are 'cause she was kind of yelling at me) LOL!

Funny thing is............it took her a long time to realize that I was serious about the stone but once she bought into it........her first words when we would phone before the game were; 'do you have the stone in your hand?' Of course, it doesn't work all the time but then I have to BELIEVE and sometimes when you see your team not trying as hard as they should, that core of belief that I have is questioned........and that is all it takes to win or lose. LOL! And yes, she was very happy to hear that I found the original and would have it for this year.

I agree that it's hard to believe in a team when they seem to be going through the motions. It can just be so frustrating!

what a battle, san jose did not want to lose, they battled hard, they were determined, they were
very tough tonight, BUT canucks had their flurries now and then, beautiful first goal.

luongo showed em all what he's made of, way to go lou

kesler was a warrier, probably should have quit, but no way jose, he wasn't finished, he had to
score the tieing goal, of course he did.

the camera position gave us the perfect view of that winning goal, with some of the players just
standing their, not knowing where the puck went.
glad bieksa was on his toes, alert, and didn't miss a thing, flopped a change-up into the net,
and thats all she wrote.

congratulations to the canucks, they're on the way to the stanley cup finals

GO CANUCKS GO

Downtown Vancouver was pretty crazy tonight. Not as crazy as when we beat Chicago though. And obviously not like the gold medal final. I wonder which will be crazier. Olympic Gold or Stanley Cup. You guys who don't live in Vancouver are really missing out :p

Also probably saving money. I spent so much tonight. "Oh, second overtime? I guess I need to buy another drink." Don't the Canucks know we have to work tomorrow?

Actually, one of the reasons I really want Boston to win is because of Don Cherry.......now I don't mind the guy most of the time... but considering his history with the Bruins......well, I think it would be truly sweet to see the Canucks take the Cup and leave Boston on the ice. LOL!

I'm not so sure that Vancouver can beat Boston, which is one of the reasons I've been hoping for Tampa.

Been there done that. I was there for the riot in 94.

Just wait until the cops hose you down with tear gas while waiting inline to go to the Commodore.

Barring stupid penalties and lucky bounces for Boston, Vancouver can smoke Boston, as a matter of fact I predict they'll do it in 5 games.

I was glad to hear on the news that there was no problems after the game, lots of celebrating and
partying but no trouble, and thats good, hope you had fun too.

Wow, well done team. Lou stole this game. Well done big guy!

would like to inform the mods that the post above and the poster could not be one in the same.

lol (just kidding)

That's how you know Vancouver isn't a REAL hockey town.

If this was Montreal, cars would be burnt, store windows smashed, etc etc.

I still don't care which team canucks play, I am cheering for boston, just because I like them
better than tampa bay.

I suppose if thomas plays like he did last game all thru the finals, he can win the cup for
boston, but I know he can't do that every game, he hasn't done it consistently during the
playoffs, and has looked shaky in some games.

I don't want canucks to have to travel to tampa bay, but it would be only for 2 games right?
two wins at home and two away, thats not bad. lol

I like the original six feeling having boston in the final, and a northern team too, more
natural for hockey, good hockey town.

I'm thinking of kesler, raymond and others on the team today, wondering how serious injuries are,
they said on the radio that raymond lost two teeth from that high stick, that was not called.

I'm feeling cheeky right now, will settle down soon, and get back to business of cheering and
playing one game at a time. lol

I'm not sure that that sh*t is particularly necessary!

Is the flight to Tampa Bay much longer than to Boston? I'm guessing 1/2 hour!

Has it occurred to everyone that the further the Canucks go in the playoffs, the stronger they get- it took 7 games to beat the 8th place team, 6 games to beat the 5th place team and 5 games to beat the 2nd place team. I would think both Boston and T.B. are dreading the thought of the next round.

its got to be more than that doesn't it? south east corner of the continent compared to straight
east, just assuming.

you always smile after your posts, so don't know if they are real or not. lol,
you'll have to have two different smiles made up, to keep us from getting sucked in
to your comments.
